Whose his assistant

To be honest towards the end - probably after Calderwood and McCall I didn't have a clue who his assistants were anyway!

WTF is happening with this club.....How the hell does Sadler think we can compete if we haven't got someone to put out the cones...

Hold on...........I think we may have that covered......#BUT ITS STILL SADLERS FAULT!!!!!!

As others have mentioned I would love Thommo to come back to the club. I didn't really notice Garrity or have a feeling of what he brought to the role. Unlike when Calderwood was his assistant there was a noticeable improvement in performance.
I think Garrity and Calderwood co-existed? Calderwood had a parrt time mentoring role. Garrity was a full time coach. IIRC.

Don’t forget, he had Brunskill aswell as Garrity at Blackpool after McCall left and also had both at QPR ….and both are available. He could get the gang back together.

I bet all the posters on this thread wake up and think "I wonder who Critchley's assistant will be and when will it be announced?"

And then someone posts the question (on a discussion board) and they all jump in with "Why do you need to know now?" etc like a pack hyenas.

Some weirdos post on here. The OP is a perfectly reasonable question to ask. It's what the website is for.

Given the number of ice-cream vendors there'll be in the town currently 'limbering up' in readiness for the summer season tourist onslaught, I really don't anticipate this being any kind of a problem. Face it, cones are a pivotal part of their daily working lives for the next six months, aren't they? I mean, come on, we're talking Blackpool here... What are we going to fret about next? A possible shortage of deck chairs in the town...

His record with Brunskill as assistant isn't great. 6 wins from 30 games.

A good day for Blackpool FC. Let’s all pull together and look forward. Much better than the constant moaning and groaning from the usual suspects on this forum.

I called it ha ha 🕶️ should we be worried?
I don't have an issue with any individual. I am concerned that having the 4 senior voices (Downes, Critchley, Brunskill and Garrity) with no meaningful experience as professional footballers between them makes it harder to communicate and empathise with players.

I have no issue at all with non playing managers and coaches, I am, in fact, all for them. They have to work harder to get a chance and thus likely possess some particular qualities that the average "just appoint ex player z" figure doesn't possess but it seems to me, however unqualified I am to comment, that you need someone to, for want of a better explanation to 'speak footballer to footballers' - just as you'd imagine that managing any team doing anything, you'd want someone in the group of leaders to have the experience of doing the thing the workers are actually doing.

We'll see.

We're stuck with them 😉
