Why was John Lundstram so bad?

Just reading that he wants to stay at Rangers - when everyone thinks back - why was he so bad for us?

He had the misfortune to join us during a bonkers time, it was no club for a youngster to develop in.

He's one of the worst players I've ever seen in Tangerine but went on to be a Premier League regular and played in a European final for Rangers. He obviously simply didn't want to be here.

I had already started my own boycott when he was here however I remember him getting slagged of somet chronic on here and saw him play when we were on Sky against Cardiff I think and actually thought he played really well!

I was watching the Old Firm game and noticed three ex players on the pitch.

Not sure what that says about the standard of top level Scottish football

Last time Blades were in Prem they had 4 ex BFC players/loans as regulars.
Lundstram, John Fleck, Jack Robinson - all not good enough for us.
Chris Basham - was average/decent for us.

Just goes to show how young players develop at different rates and how important being surrounded by the right people and environment play a part in that process.

I thought he looked so bad when he was with us it made me wonder why Everton kept him on the books, we clearly got to see him at his worst

How strange , I thought he looked good for us , you could tell he had the potential to have a decent career, as has obviously transpired.
