Will the Cods avoid the drop?

Don't really know any cod fans to ask this. Would Fleetwood perceive themselves as big fishes in a little pond ( no pun intended) or do they accept that league 2 is a division with similar sized clubs. Would they also think they would be favourite to win the league and have a bit of glory again?

Are there many clubs with a lower average gate than Fleetwood in League 2? Maybe Crawley and Salford?

Most of the others will think themselves as bigger clubs.

If people still want Brannigan in the summer I’d expect we’ll be all cheering the Cods on tomorrow? 🤣

Hopefully Gillingham can put another dagger in the back next game and then it’s really down to Morecambe as they have some tough games ahead against the likes of MK Dons and Sunderland - proper fight for your life time.

Had a freebie so went today, apart from a dreadful opening 15 mins the Cods actually played well and should have got at least a point. As for Brannigan he wasn’t much cop to be fair, scored a goal but not a much else, certainly wouldn’t spend big money on him if it was up to me.

The problem the Cods have got is confidence - think it's something like 1 win in 17 games. That said, maybe coming back and pulling back two goals against Oxford might put them in good stead against Gillingham? Lose that and they'll be relying on that AFC Wimbledon game for 3 points but there's no guarantees. Must say it's making the end of the season interesting if nothing else.

Well I’d say Fleetwood will be the happiest of the teams today (although Morecambe will be happy) - all comes down to Cods v Dons next week for me ..

Might well be the Cods goal difference that keeps them up
Intriguing last day of fixtures
Bolton v Fleetwood
Gillingham v Rotherham
Morecambe v Sunderland

Rotherham and Sunderland need wins and so really tough for Gillingham and Morecambe and on that basis you'd say sadly the Cods will survive.

I think if Gillingham get anything from their game v Rotherham on Saturday then Fleetwood will go down as I can't see them getting anything at Bolton

Tough to call this given that all 3 need to set up to win. Morecambe has the toughest game against in form Sunderland, but have Gillingham the ability to overcome Rotherham who’s form has slumped alarmingly over the last 2 months? I can’t see the Cods getting anything at Bolton despite them having nothing to play for, so it’s down to the Gills to step up but l would prefer them to drop rather than a northern club!

Sunderland's late equaliser last night will incentivise Rotherham even more to win at Gillingham. They need to win.

"I can’t see the Cods getting anything at Bolton despite them having nothing to play for"

I thought all EFL clubs have 'financial incentives' to finish the highest they can. With the cost of running clubs I would presume owners would install into their Managers, exactly that.

Besides Evo will want to beat the Cods

Suppose it depends on how close the Crainey/ Evatt relationship is these days!!
