There’s nowt so queer as folk. Yup!
Apparently hitting the woodwork are not counted as efforts on target.Hit the woodwork twice, I'd call those efforts on goal.
Team yes manager NOMaybe show some loyalty to the team then. It actually helps.
I'm talking about a bit later this season It hasn't happened yet.Same season I meant don't be so padantic
I assume it’s a physical representation of opinions on here…one probably thinks we’re shite…the other that everything will be fine…Yep falling out amongst ourselves in the concourse it seems. This is not the place for speculation however I understand punches were thrown.
Let’s face it… you weren’t prepared to give him a chance at all…Aww, thanks Daz!
Fair enough. I don’t think we’ll lose to Wigan, but I’m no gambling man!Team yes manager NO
Scouts and sporting directors can highlight all the good players in the world, you need the will and the money to buy them.At the moment it feels like we are a poor team with no leadership from the manager. I thought when Downes came as Director of Sport ( or whatever his correct title is ) then our recruitment would have improved . But seems on similar lines to before, but with fewer loans as yet.
We live in hope.twice this year
Well Critchley didn't show any loyalty , when he shot off to Villa ,,,,Team yes manager NO
You mean pedantic oops sorry can’t help myselfSame season I meant don't be so padantic
Aside from Critchley the first time around, every other manager Sadler has appointed has been one that's been unpopular with a significant portion of the fanbase. And three of the five he's appointed have been former BFC managers. That's a huge concern to me. I don't think he has a clue when it comes to managerial appointments, which is why he goes with familiarity even in the face of significant fan opposition.
We may have been playing Prem opposition, and I don't expect us to win, but I think the fans that went deserved to see us put in a display that was sufficient to have one effort on target. The fact we didn't, and haven't scored for five consecutive games now, is dreadful. Truly dreadful.
We continually took a stance under the Oystons that the season seemed to start after the transfer window ended, and we were only concerned with bringing in the players that made any kind of difference at the last minute. We don't seem to have changed that philosophy, and while Sadler isn't comparable with the Oystons on almost every front (imo), I'm disappointed this behaviour hasn't changed. This is the reason why we never achieve automatic promotion - because other clubs are largely ready and better prepared, and we're still pissing around trying to find some round pegs for round holes after the first half dozen games.
If the ambition is to win promotion, a large chunk of the Yates money will need to be spent (yes I know transfer fees aren't everything, but the fact is we haven't replaced any of the quality we've lost, and that costs money whether it's transfer fees, wages, or both). If we don't spend that money this week, I think it's highly unlikely we'll be anywhere close to troubling the top six.
We will loseFair enough. I don’t think we’ll lose to Wigan, but I’m no gambling man!
Sack the scouts and sporting directors and we might have a few bob to buy players.Scouts and sporting directors can highlight all the good players in the world, you need the will and the money to buy them.
Do we have that?
According to Voy, I was fawning about his return!! I just wanted him to do well but I never thought he would and I still don't. You'll come round, just give it a bit of time.Let’s face it… you weren’t prepared to give him a chance at all…
True, but although I found the Stains abhorrent, supporting the Pool always seemed to have an element of fun and passion and fans usually were a cohesive unit with mostly the same opinions and ambitions ..... and we actually won a few things too!and while Sadler isn't comparable with the Oystons on almost every front (imo)
Critchley first time around? Even Dobbie wasn’t accepted by some of our more challenged fans before and after his stint (despite being the only manager to produce exciting attacking and a winning football team)Quick question. Who was the last manager the 'fanbase' agreed on?
Mick Mccarthy. Anybody worth listening to thought he would be shit and he was.Quick question. Who was the last manager the 'fanbase' agreed on?
Ollie....DobsQuick question. Who was the last manager the 'fanbase' agreed on?
To do with a pie I was toldI assume it’s a physical representation of opinions on here…one probably thinks we’re shite…the other that everything will be fine…
DobsOllie....Dobs
** fuck the fuck off.Scant cash spent by Friday and fans will demand both Critchley and Sadler leave.
It’ll be a rugby scoreWe will lose
I think you'll find it's pedanticSame season I meant don't be so padantic
I think the Oystons appointed better managers. They had Jimmy Armfield to advise them - if only he was still around. SS would do worse than to get one or two past players on the board to help the decision making.True, but although I found the Stains abhorrent, supporting the Pool always seemed to have an element of fun and passion and fans usually were a cohesive unit with mostly the same opinions and ambitions ..... and we actually won a few things too!
Would rather have signs and chants saying 4-4-2Can someone make 4,500 arrows for the supporters in the North and South stands to point the way to goal for Saturday, please?
There's not many. But there's also not many that have seen such polarising views than the ones SS has appointed imo.Quick question. Who was the last manager the 'fanbase' agreed on?
Evo was the obvious choice when he was ready to come here but he wasn't even considered. There's not many. But there's also not many that have seen such polarising views than the ones SS has appointed imo.
Is it a coincidence or are some players just poor and slow to blocks?Another set of deflections.
Or 'pedantic', even...Same season I meant don't be so padantic

As long as we have 4,500 bows to fire them! Can someone make 4,500 arrows for the supporters in the North and South stands to point the way to goal for Saturday, please?
a good pointI think the Oystons appointed better managers. They had Jimmy Armfield to advise them - if only he was still around. SS would do worse than to get one or two past players on the board to help the decision making.

Sadly I'm going to be right though, but nothing would please me more if I was wrong.I’ll never come round to this kind of reactive nonsense… I fully understand being disappointed with results, but come on !!
Once we appoint a manager (whoever he is) he needs to be given a fair crack at the whip. The behaviour of many of our fans following recent appointments isn’t helping anyone.
Yeah I don't think we should be contemplating a managerial change. I'm confident we'll improve, but it's deflating to continually make a pigs ear of the August fixtures year on year.I wouldn't disagree there.
Grayson was the worst.
Critchley ... I could see the logic and I'm not going to spit the dummy just yet. We can't career from one Manager to the next. Or even just keep bleating the name of the person we didn't go for.
It's idiotic.
True, although I'm not sure he would've recommended going back to them when the fans were clearly against it, especially Appleton.Apart from Sadler appointed two of Armfield's previous recommends in Appleton and Grayson.
That seems ODDOr 'pedantic', even...
Around half the fan base didn’t want Quitchley re-appointed, after the way he left us first time around. It was surely blatantly obvious to those who brought him back, that if he got off to a poor start, the atmosphere amongst fans would quickly turn toxic. That is exactly what has happened! Should be obvious to anyone.
No if we lost with Dobbie there would be some excitement with Critch it a 90 min boreOf course it was expected. Same way if Dobbie had got the job and made the same start.
It's just the way fans are nowadays.
No you’re not going to be right mate, you couldn’t possibly have got it more wrong. Calling for the Manager’s head after a handful of games can never ever be right.Sadly I'm going to be right though, but nothing would please me more if I was wrong.
