Womens football headlines on sky sports

Tin hat on!!
But should the Womens football sections & news be on a completely different section to the Mens (talking about Sky sports news & transfer clockwatch, BBC Sport etc). It just reeks of the PC Brigade and equality, when in reality they are two different sports in my opinion.
I get the purpose (In the hope of gaining more popularity), but it should feel like its thrust upon us, and you should direct yourself to it if you are interested in it.

It's Sky Sports news, not Sky Football news, so even if they're different sports, it shouldn't matter.

Don’t mind it to be honest, they can show as much of Alisha Lehmann as they like 👍🏻

I was watching SSN on my lunch break and they talked about the mens & womens tennis at the same time so, for me, it makes sense to talk about other men & womens sports at the same time.

It’s a fair point you make tho, would the womens game be better off having its own time slot to discuss that side of the game? Or does including in with mens news normalise it? I don’t know the answer to either BTW!!

Why does it really bother you?
Because I follow & have an interest in Mens football which is a totally different game to the Womens (with all due respect). So in my free time when I am reading for example the transfer clockwatch on say Sky, I don't want to to see WSL transfers mixed in amongst them, and I certainly don't want to have it forced on me the Women pundits talking about it. Yes, they know about football in general, but they know nothing about the elite level of football and what it takes to perform at that level, there are more non-league footballers who would be more apt and suitable to be doing it, simple!

Haven’t got sky and don’t watch tv much in general so not relevant to op, however don’t understand why scores/ fixtures are all mixed up on website ( bbc) ... prioritise women first, if they want to be all pc and that but at least put all comps together 😡

What bothers me is that the teams are Arsenal, Chelsea, City, United (oh and Brighton) that are on. Are there no other teams available or is that it? I don't want to watch any of these teams who have just bought the best players.

Where are Doncaster Belles these days? Proper womens team.

Lala; it is thrust upon you because SKY and the BBC interjwct it within the mens game coverage as though it has parity!.

Give it a dedicated channel / time slot.
If it’s a football program and not a specific mens football program then it’s not thrust upon you as such.

I get the basic point, but it’s not third world stuff.

It's stumped me the other day. Liverpool were 2-0 up against Palance according to SSN yet I was watching the game and Liverpool were ony 1-0 up, it was only when I saw the goalscorers name that I realised the women were playing the same fixture and were 2-0 up.

Sport is sport, not arsed who is playing.

Not much of an inconvenience but it did fool me!
