Wont be Evo..

Critchley signed 4 year deal before leaving . It’s common practice to sign a deal ensuring your current employers get a better compo deal when you leave . It could just as easily signify he's about to leave .
The whole point of signing a contract at this stage is to stop the rumour mill churning out stories all summer. Critch had every intention of staying until a Premier League offer came through the door on x4 times the money. The only way Evo will bail now is for something similar in the Championship or Premier League, not us unfortunately.

9/10 it ends badly when it comes to managers, so I’m always reluctant to see ex players (inc Dobbie) being linked with the role - I don’t want to see their reputation at the club tarnished!

At some point in the future I'm sure Ian Evatt will be manager of BFC. However it will not be this summer, he's well settled where he is and is doing a great job for the murderers. There are plenty of others who would do a great job for us; unfortunately there are a lot more who would balls it up and we can only hope that the appointment process is so designed to weed out those candidates.

But, as a possible candidate, and for now, it's looking as though we're going to be giving him the old E-vo...

We aren't ever paying 4 year compo though are we? He might leave but not for us. For, I dunno, Southampton, yeah, maybe.

What is it with people thinking that Ian Evatt will be our manager anytime soon? He's at Bolton Wanderers which, like it or lump it, is a bigger club with far better facilities and probably with more financial resources. There was an opportunity when he was at Barrow and we never took it and so that was that.

Because he's an ex player, this site is ** obsessed with getting ex players in.

Great player for us and a top guy (we spoke with him a couple of times in Lytham). But I hope Notlob don't get promoted, as it's a game to look forward to next season.

I don`t particularly advocate ex players to manage us and indeed strongly opposed Grayson`s return but I strongly advocated Evatt`s appointment when he was at Barrow and apparently we refused to even interview him .Yet another example of inept decision making.

He certainly would not be interested in us now, more`s the pity.

Running the risk of getting the post pulled, but there were possibly related reasons to what you allude to why Evo didn't get the job here in the first place. Due diligence and all that.
That's my understanding too.

So come all you then all you ITK`s stop pussy footing about, exactly what was the issue or issues that ruled him out of consideration for us,personal debt?

I wouldn't bet on him getting the job. Betting on football is a risky business isn't it?
