Anyone watching this wokey dokey bbc crap? Before you strt, having to endure it coz the women of the household have been following it for the last week.
I think it’s because they are ActorsSaw the first series and couldn’t understand why the brother, sister and father all had completely different accents. Guess it was fine because they were ‘northern’
The loss of Sean Bean kind of ruined the second season for me. I suspect an entire storyline was lost as a result, which they’ve tried to re-thread, but didn’t quite work for me.I watched season 1 and enjoyed it but struggled a bit with the first episode of season 2. Part of that was because there was a 4 year gap between the two (partly due to Covid). Seems Sean Bean wasn’t available so his sudden disappearance was explained by his house being hit by a bomb. Similarly the daughter’s love interest just vanished without (so far) any explanation and also the American journalist. And the young Polish lad had changed from a small boy to a teenager in the space of a couple of months while his brother seemed to have become an OAP. I was beginning to think I’d missed a season or something.
It’s ok.
I think that’s right. I suspect he and Posh Mum were being lined up for some sort of romantic dalliance (opposites attract and all that) that won’t now be possible. The loss of Sean Bean kind of ruined the second season for me. Yes. The son/brother came back from sea then disappeared again. The loss of Sean Bean kind of ruined the second season for me. I suspect an entire storyline was lost as a result, which they’ve tried to re-thread, but didn’t quite work for me.
Yep... They brought in another character to fill out that romantic thread, but I'm not sure it's really worked that well.... All a bit odd really... Maybe Bean got a better offer or priced himself out of a jobI think that’s right.
