Would you have Critch back?

No, he did a good job when he was here, but then absconded without any warning and without explanation.

I can remember Bob Stokoe who was a very successful manager for us, leaving to manage Sunderland, being sacked and coming back to us. His second spell was awful.

I'm still hoping that the second stint by Appleton will turn out well for him and for us. his departure the first time was understandable, something most of us did during the Boycott.

NC is a better manager and a better recruiter. I don't like either manager but if the opportunity arose, I'd get him in. He probably wouldn't want the job anyway.

He’s not a manager, he proved that last season, not least when he nearly ruined Jerry. He’s a one-dimensional coach with a liking for negative football.

His silence when he left us speaks volumes about the man (in a negative way)

Would/should we accept Neil Critchley back at our club if it would guarantee our safety in the Championship?

Forgiveness is a big word. I would forgive him and have him back. I want what is best for Blackpool FC.

Having said that, I would like to see MA do well at BFC and Critchley not have to be an option.

as much as I think he did a very good if not exceptional job when he was here the fact that he bailed when he did and how he did for me means a big NO.

Oooooh, karma really is a bitch.....! 😏
The only disappointing thing is that he may get a decent wedge as compo.
Still, a small victory is a victory....

The sad thing is that if he'd had just a modicum of decency and communicated his intentions, rather than firing off without a second thought, then he'd at least have had a modicum of sympathy with him.

I do like Critchley but I usually say never go back, but currently we went back with Appleton and we went back with Grayson under sadler so dont be surprised down the line if he goes back again

Everyone is assuming that Cricth left for the money and because he is a fan of Stevie G. But maybe his working relationship
with Ben Mansford had come to an end, and he wasn't able to get the players he wanted to move the team forward
so left at the first good opportunity that came along. Probably the most common reason that people move is that they don't get along with
the boss, as any move comes with risks.

I would imagine that he would have had to sign a non-disclosure agreement when he started at Blackpool, and so was limited on what he could say when he left so decided to say nothing.

I would imagine that the chances are small just because Ben Mansford is in charge. The fan's opinion doesn't really matter as proven by the
appointment of Appleton. However, the pressure will start to mount on both Appleton and Mansford if we get a really bad result against
Preston on Saturday.

originally I thought 'Yes'.
On further reflection my answer is 'NO'.
Maybe only as a coach, which he won't do.
So I say 'No, we don't need him back.'

No & I don’t think he would come back (definately not after reading this board😂) although I do miss the togetherness he seemed to create in the squad

No.
The one thing a manager needs as much as talent and organisation is charisma. The quality that gets players to believe in him and fight for him. Think Brian Clough as the pinnacle.
Critchley appears to have little or no charisma. Appleton has a bit.

No unfortunately, but I can see him back at Bloomfield Road quite soon in the opposing managers dug out!
Be interesting to see what reception he receives.
If he’d done the right thing and said he was sorry, but it was too big an opportunity to let go by, then I would have welcomed him back with open arms if the opportunity had arisen.

My two penny worth for what is worth is he got us promoted and then helped keep us in the Championship BUT they way he left and without as much of a statement let alone a thank you then NO I don’t want him back.
Think the expression is about burning his own bridges.

I think Critch was ‘of a time’, had a better squad and had the post boycott drive behind him - made lots of errors and I think if you look back a few may be looking through rose tinted glasses.
