Pity their stats table didn’t quite get it right and realise we actually lost to Peterborough……they might then be more optimistic.

However, as they say, it is the FA Cup and anything can happen as we know so often!!!!!!!!!

The thread title states..."and you thought ARE fans were pessimistic." The word 'are' is a a second person singular or plural (you are), and first person plural (we are) of the verb, 'to be'. I suspect the poster used it in mistaken belief that it was the word 'our' which is a first person plural possessive, object pronoun. Hence, the title should read..."and you thought OUR fans were pessimistic'.

Our it should be. There and their also confuses the shit out of those who don't seem to be able to understand a fairly simple scenario.

I’m still none the wiser but that’s purely down to my inability to grasp it (however much I analyse it) and not down to your explanation. Ellis would be rather ashamed of me, I’m afraid 😂
