Wow

Well you look at all the stats today : Wolves, Luton, Palace - it’s what you do with the ball and you stop them doing

It’s a very important win and just maybe we can get a run going

When we were drawing 0-0, we were dominating the stats but it’s about what you do having worked hard to nullify fair teams

I watched it with the Barnsley commentary on
They were saying apart from the 10 minutes in the second half when the Pool sat back, they were in full control and how the defence (especially Husband) were great.
They couldn't believe that Grimmy didn't have to make 1 save the whole game.
I watched it in the ground with my own commentary and we were always in control, with them failing to have a shot on target throughout the game.😉

We defended well and signs of a good side that win when we don’t play well.

We were second best tho. Still worried about our scoring away from home we need to do better attacking.

JUST watched the highlights on the football league show. We looked pretty decent. just like beating YARKSHIRE teams . Makes it even sweeter.

Only criticism was how cheaply we gave the ball away 2nd half. Several counter attacking chances were wasted through lack of a bit of composure. Dougall seemed the biggest culprit.

Critch didn't sound overly satisfied with the performance having chosen to make us more compact to try to turn our away fortunes around. We got the points and our first away goal but we need to improve in possession and our ability to control.a game when we are away from home and he knows that. Struggling to find a midfield blend and I don't the the Reading game necessarily provided the answer tbh.

Some fair points in all of that voy. We’re still very much a work in progress. if we can still win games whilst transforming that is really important both for club spirit and means we don’t fall behind with too much to do once it clicks.

All quite promising at the moment.

I think if Virtue and Pennington had been available we would have seen an unchanged side and maybe more of a feel on how we might go forward.

True NSS but l never thought the Tykes were going to score throughout the game as we looked solid defensively, my major concern is the amount of sloppy loose balls we keep giving away cheaply!

The Barnsley commentary were typical of most biased home teams. Constantly whinging about everything they didn't get from the ref then completely ignoring stuff like the corner we didn't get, the ball given out that wasn't, the offside given that wasn't, the fouls committed against us that weren't given, the soft yellows we were given (Grimmy, Husband and Weir to name 3) and the yellows they got away with. Then they were whinging about how they should have won when they didn't muster a single shot on goal. Whinging the penalty was our only chance even though we had 3 on target. To be fair the Wycombe commentary were the only impartial lot I've listened to for ages.

Critch did his homework. Barnsley’s fast counterattacking and shooting on sight outside box is their major strength. Our defensive play negated that. Olly Casey. What a guy!

So playing away against a team in the top 5, they had zero attempts on target, we defended well and could easily have got a second from Kenny Dougall but for a brilliant save by their keeper, that’ll do for now

I was there and though you’re always nervous it was never that bad as they didn’t really come that close to scoring
