WTF is the club thinking in selling tickets in the home corporate to away fans?

Absolute joke this afternoon having to put up with 2 boxes in corporate with away fans in them giving it the big one only to be told that there was also a table full of them in the main room as well……. which prick makes these decisions, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t happen anywhere else???

It does happen. We booked hospitality at West Brom and was in a room full of West Brom fans

I've done freebies at away games, not my cup of tea, if those boxes aren't sold would you prefer that the club turns the money down?
Corporate was over sold today, they actually emailed everyone asking us to be there early so they had time to serve all the meals. Are we that desperate for a few extra away fans who can potentially spoil the day for a lot of others?

I thought it happened everywhere else?
Been in our corporate before with away fans and offered on our travels.

Usual stuff no colours and behave yourself maybe a local Derby is very risky.
They celebrated when they scored, it was pretty obvious who they were. Yet again incompetence has spoiled the day for home fans behaving themselves…… only at Blackpool hey 🙄

Dunno, not sure why it spoiled your day, all part of the fun innit?

Jesus wept. It’s a game of football. If you can’t sit next to someone who supports another football team without it spoiling your day you need to grow the fuck up
From someone who went to the same fans behaviour meeting before Wigan last season and squealed about how the way Blackpool fans were portrayed……. shut up you prick 🙄

But I can get into an away teams corporate with ease?

A local Derby I agree is at bit much but over the years we've had plenty of kick offs in corporate.
I remember doing Rangers years ago and got set on by load of their fans when I cheered for us, got told to sit town and told them to fuck themselves.

I'm surprised those knobs celebrated when Bolton scored sat in Block C, mind. Didn't last long.

I think the big issue here is the fact the game was Bolton, it's senseless mixing Bolton and Blackpool fans whether it in corporate or the terraces same as it would be with our other local rivals, maybe a box of Oxford or Cheltenham fans been there it wouldn't have got out of hand.

For the record the reason why no away fans are allowed in corporate at Fleetwood is because Pilley insists on it and it is adhered to without question, it all came about because a few years ago there was a major brawl in the Parkside suite involving wait for it...................Bolton fans.

Sorry. Didn’t think it’d touch a nerve. I was quite blunt. I do think it’s absolutely incredible that grown men don’t feel they can sit in the same room as another group of grown men just because they want a different outcome from a game of sports. I honestly can’t fathom how that would ruin a day for anyone.
Obviously it’s a bit different if say those same group of men were actually being agressive etc - but celebrating a goal ? If that upsets you your priorities are all wrong.

Against a local rival like Bolton with all that history you'd have to be a bit wet behind the ears to think it's all going to be hunky dory.

Moan, Moan, Moan!!. There’s plenty on here that come across as spoilt toddlers. I didn’t want Critchley back, so I’ll stamp my feet until he goes.
Grow up ffs, you’re coming across a knobhead.
And yes, I would happily come to the pet food store and tell you to your face, although I better be careful, because you will get the muckers to hunt my ip address..

Mosser stop stirring and trying to create a false untrue statement my pals were in a box today they said they saw 2/3 semi celebrate the first goal in from what circa 120 guests?

The club don’t sell boxes to fans. It is up to Blackpool FC seasonal Boxholders if they want to entertain clients, and that’s why they have a box?

I had a beer with my mates after the game in the Matthews, they said they saw some commotion from the end box in the corner going mad because of that, so assume that was you lot?

My mate is a club seasonal boxholder and I go in the Matthews a lot. The clubs hospitality team insisted we were all pool fans with prev purchase history only when we booked our table. Indeed we got the game comms to say if anyone was entertaining any away clients they needed to know and strongly worded they had to be very respectful during the game if so.

The matthews was packed today but was a great atmosphere, Super Brett was entertaining pre match too! I didn't see any Bolton celebrate on the balcony , if there was any in there they had taken the advice and they sat on there hands when they scored as far as I could see!

The club does a great job at managing this, it was a top corporate day out, it always is up there and today was fantastic - so stop beating the club up … have a beer and a chill pill!

I've read all the posts above.

Blackpool should NOT have sold Tix in Corporate to Bolton fans it's too "highly-charged" a fixture, and more importantly there was significant demand to sell out home fans only.

I don't have an issue with away fans in Corporate for most games but Preston,Bolton & Burnley......NO!!! and they should reciprocate at their grounds.

It IS too risky.......end of!!!

You would have been quite happy sitting next to fans of one of your hated rivals would you?
With a 4-1 hammering and their players nd management acting like big babies I would have absolutely loved it. Admittedly if it was the other way round, it wouldn’t have been much fun and shouldn’t have been allowed.

Yeah the Bolton fans certainly piped down as the game progressed that's for sure but imagine if the game had gone the other way and Bolton had won 4-1? I'm pretty certain it would have kicked off in the corporate area as the fans don't just celebrate do they? No, they start all this childish gesticulating at the other fans and as soon as that happens it's going to kick off.

The box I was in had women and young children in it and they should not be subjected to grown men getting aggressive with each other and the football club need to take that onboard and make sure there is not a repeat of this in the future.

But it was all hunky dory. The only reason it wouldn’t be all hunky dory would be because some grown ass man took offence at another grown ass man for liking a different colour shirt and for chanting the names of a different bunch of absolute strangers. People from Bolton like Bolton Wanderers FC - what an absolute shocking revelation !! How can we possibly let the people of Bolton into a room with the people of Blackpool…

It’s all a bit childish isn’t ??

Tory read my thread the club didn’t sell directly to Bolton fans … Sold to pool fans with previous history only for this game!

In that case the Pool fans should me made aware that away fans will be ejected if they are found in the corporate area as it is not allowed, as I mentioned that is the policy the Cods have, I was in corporate for our game there along with a couple of Pool fans but we didn't resort to jumping up and down when we scored, we were respectful of the rule and had an enjoyable evening without incident.
