a lad i spoke to tonight said he will ask for a refund if Appleton gets the job - don’t know if he will follow through with that but he was quite strong in his opinions. I’ve also got mine and wouldn’t ask for a refund but really don’t want appleton.

OK. But how would he feel if, say, we won our first five games? All I would say is, any new appointment is a bit of a gamble, and Appleton would not be my first choice, but as a Blackpool fan I've got to give any manager, appointed by a board that I trust, a fair chance to prove himself.

There’s loads of ideas that could be listened to. But trying to get an extra 15k on attendance seems unreal. Ultimately success breeds success, so we will see what happens.

Forget the extra 15k, its about steady growth.

Success will do that but cannot be guaranteed, some deals will help and the club has said it plans to use them.

Relative success a small remaining at the level, playing big teams and local derbies we will grow.

Being a professional club helps too, its night and day to a while back.

For me though we're a special case because of the years of crap, boycott years and even covid.

So many things to wear the fanbase down over the years, but finally on the up again.

But just getting people in and hooked is key.

Blackpool has so much to do compared to other towns and also a transient population, so to get more coming we need success or the odd deal, or both.

I am sure he had a tattoo of North End on the back of his leg last time he work at pool . Most of his career was at the knobbers ,but he may have had it removed since.

Am not sure a NAPM stance is ever the way to support your club because of an appointment you disagree with.

To be fair pal i just didnt want to see Appleton to be back at our great club but its happened and theres nothing i or anyone else can do..however my Napm stance was prob an over reaction and i will always support the pool whoever runs the show i just feel deflated that simon would go against the overwhelming majority of fans opinion and i dread what the future holds thats all anyway utmp

A lot of the negativity is ott or false.

He did well at Lincoln on a tight budget.

He left us but we were a joke and he didn't know much about the oystons and found Karl so difficult to deal with.

I think he'll be good.
