Wyre and Fylde (Tangerine or White)

The population of Blackpool is around 140,000. But how much more potential do we have as a club?

The population of Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde is 350,000. Is there a huge catchment area there for us as a club? Or are Wyre and Fylde more Preston's catchment area?

I'm guessing Fylde is likely to be 90%/10% in our favour? Wyre? Who knows 🤷🏽‍♂️
 
I remember back in the 90's I think, when they were mooting mergers; it would have become Wylde Fyre; which would have been the greatest name for an authority, anywhere.

Back to the OP; I guess success will build the fan base; we need a sustained top two tiers football to really make long term inroads into any commmunity.

Be interesting to see what happens to Burnley if they get relegated. Years in the top flight, one big family day out, but I still suspect their attendances will drop.

Our first ambition should be (assuming we can accommodate them all etc) is 15,000 home fans and then whatever away fans can muster.

Not sure any part of Wyre is Nobber territory other than perhaps the far outskirts around Garstang
Obviously some - mainly F/wood and it's hinterland
 
Round FY8 it's Pool, then Liverpool with some tossers that escaped from Preston coming alongside City and Utd.

One thing I do 'worry' about is that the Club seem to solely concentrate on Blackpool, an example being they wanted the TG to be in Blackpool, yet Blackpool probably provides no more than 50% of home support. I think the community stuff is all Blackpool too (I'll happily stand corrected).

I'd like to see the Club expand into F&W more.

Yeah this was basically the point of my post. Just how much untapped potential is out there in Wyre and Fylde?
 
Both Fylde & Wyre will be predominantly tangerine.
Fylde:
St.Anne’s deffo Pool
Lytham same
Kirkham a good split, maybe slightly more knobbers?
Warton & Freckleton again quite a few Seasiders but I guess more knobbers, closer to Preston
Wyre:
Fleetwood. Cods obviously but quite a few Seasiders, knobber free zone
Cleveleys: big tangerine stronghold & a few cods
Thornton: same
Poulton deffo tangerine
Over Wyre more pool than Preston
Garstang guess a few more knobbers
