Yellow Cards

Does anyone know the rules for the playoffs please?

Is it a continuation of the season and suspensions after 5 or 10 cards

or

Is it play off specific, do 2 yellows in the 2 semis mean a ban for the final.

I think the whole yellow card totting up thing went out of the window a few games ago. Certainly 2 yellows in 2 semis does not count for a ban in the final.
