Sky are reporting that the much vaunted "New Deal" that the EPL were supposedly about to offer the EFL has now been shelved, as the EPL clubs could not agree a package that 14 of them could sign up to.

This process has now been going on for nearly three years, and not only is there no sign of an agreement, there is currently no proposal actually on the table.

Whilst they continue to rake in as much as they can. It's disappointing business when looked at from the outside, no wonder they call it the greed league. I wish they'd get this Super league sorted where the greediest of the clubs go and play around the World and on the Moon and Mars. Let football get back to what it should be with new governance.

The crazy thing is, despite the Premier League being awash with money a lot of clubs are running at a substantial loss. Saw something the other day about Villa recording a £120m loss last season.
Until there is a wage cap the finances will continue to drain out of the game and there won’t be a good deal for lower league clubs.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabian franchise has slipped to 10th, through buying a fragile first XI but failing to invest in a squad deep in talent.

I do think that if certain ffp rules were not in place they might have already done a Chelsea.
