Unless the Yates money is invested in a Striker who can get us 20 + goals this season ...Blackpool 0 will be a regular theme this season...I like Lavery he works hard for the team but he reminds me of a certain Kiegan Parker..he needs about 6 or 7 chances before he bags a goal...its not the worst start we have made to a season but it should have been so much more better.

It was. Only issue is that he’s lying on the treatment table.
 
Jerry was 2 years older than Kyle Joseph is now when we signed him. Joseph's 10 in 41 games last season wasn't too bad at all I don't think. If he gets fit, I see no reason he cant score in double figures, and if he can that might also free up Lavery to bang a few more in. While I think we do need another striker just because 3 strikers in a squad isn't enough, I actually don't think strikers is the main issue atm. I think we're missing the creativity - no Bowler, Hoolahan, Poveda who can do something a bit different and I also think it's all just a bit too safe, too laboured and too slow, but that's something we can definitely improve upon given time.

I’ll take Haaland whist we’re at it. Maybe even some of those lads that went to Saudi this summer. It may be too hot for them out there.

Get real. We’re in League 1. The club isn’t breaking its transfer record and wage structure to sign a 29 year old.

We could sign the most creative midfielder in the country but if the ball is constantly sailing over his head he will be totally ineffectual

Totally agree.
 
The problem is that no striker who has this goals in him would cost any less than Jerry or come to a League One side.
 
If we do spend money it will be on a young inexperienced striker or an up and coming one that the club will hope to cash in on in the future but won’t deliver those 20+ goals we all want.
