Youth FA Cup

What a magnificent group of lads these are, another fantastic goal, they are a special bunch and I really hope we can provide the first team with our own players, what a difference this club is now since the stench left and SS took over, brilliant.

Definitely something in this team. Trusty looks in control of every game I see him play, Mariette's got a bit. The front lads, Daniels, Matshazi and Francis, all look properly quick. Hopefully if we settle in mid-table Critch can give some of them a look towards the end of the season.

Add in Apter and Holmes and there could be some interesting players coming through.

Some quality players there
Well done to Simon Sadler and all the coaches. Considering how soon we are at least on a par with youth teams of Newcastle financial clout, I am confident that some will make the first team in the next few years.
We do focus on first team squad, but the club is much bigger than that, and the youth are a group of players we can be proud of.

I'm not sure either Newbury just heard some fans sat behind me tonight who talked about it, but that was early on in the game and as time progressed they were talking bollox about other things so who knows 🤷‍♂️
When Chelsea beat Liverpool in the 5th round the match was played at Liverpool' s training ground and it was behind closed doors.
I think there is something in the rules that say matches should be played at the first team's ground except by prior agreement of both teams.
When we played Arsenal in the semi-final we played at The Emirates.

Some great defending by our lads tonight we seemed to win a large percentage of the headers. Great all round display I was very impressed and enjoyed it. Re the backpass I was watching the ref to see if he hinted to goalie if he could pick it up or not and he didn't, very suprised at the decision, but made no difference in the end. Well done lads.

Thanks for the clarification Insy 👍

According to my lad the ref shouted to the keeper no no no.
