WTF is going on?

I have no idea what is happening at the moment, can someone put this season in a box full of bricks and throw it in the deepest part of the Irish Sea please.

I can't remember AVFTT being as toxic as it is now even when the vermin were in charge. Now I have been critical of SS for what has happened on the pitch this season but it's like there's some horrible virus going round that's infecting our supporters and turning them into the 'Walking arseholes'!

I've actually felt quite upset by the way supporters are turning on each other from both sides of the fence, it's ridiculous and it is making us look pathetic. The MSG should not be making SM rants like they did today and they have gone way too far this season, in fact it's mind boggling some of the things that have happened, a list of posters names off here they don't like FFS, grow up. Likewise things like Mortyson's posts tonight were actually worse and should have been deleted immediately, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes if he is identified and that isn't something that should be happening from supporting a football team.

Thankfully the majority on here and off here are pretty well balanced people who like to throw some opinions out on a message board, people who are strangers as well as those who know each other and have done for years, it's okay to have opinions that are different to others it's the way you put them that counts and at the moment it has way overstepped the mark of decency. It's an angry place and some of the personal insults that have been flying round against each other is shameful, again from both sides.

I do actually think the club have to take some responsibility as the communication from there is non existent apart from clandestine meetings where rumours are bound to spill. They need to realise that they can make a difference by actually engaging with the supporters in a positive way, and that works for us too, we need to be able to criticise and praise but a respectfully as we can. There's always going to be overly dramatic posts in the emotion of a game or just after, but at the moment it is non stop and posters on here and on other forms of social media about our club need to wind their necks in and stop acting like complete idiots, it's sad to read and does no one any good.

I will sit back and just scan it on here for the summer and hopefully it will all calm down, but if it carries on then it will only eventually hurt the club we all support. Thank god it is the summer although lots will be going on at the club so I hope they make a managerial appointment that rallies the supporters and get in players who will really improve the team. We are where we are, it should never have happened in the way it did, but it has so let's make it right. We can't do it if we are at each others throats as supporters. What happened to the feel good factor? It lasted 5 minutes, the great support, well we need to put this to bed and move on positively.

Have a good summer and why has Ben Foakes been dropped??

People need to get a grip now on all sides.

Relegation was actually taken well tbf because of Dobbie and the season end.

Then we had the wait for something to happen, then the unhelpful meeting info 'leak'.

All unnecessary really and for me far too much was made of it all, blown out of proportion.

Some people have clearly been damaged by the boycott years and when things go wrong, think the worst again.

What's done is done, we're all pool fans and can all pull in the same direction, some online squabbling is nothing in reality. We all want the same thing, for BFC to be successful.

The need for one group criticising another is pointless and petty.

The club need to get on top of their PR and get creating a buzz.

Let's hear from SS on the season gone and our aims etc.

Let's make a positive manager appointment and sign some players.

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't go lower on tickets and try and really fill the stadium, but it is what it is, I'll still be buying, just want the maximum pool fans there, which can still happen if people back the club. Let's face it, it's likely to be a far better season than the one we just witnessed.

One things for sure, we won't achieve what we want if we're divided.

People need to take a chill-pill. It's still May FFS. People complain we rush decisions, people complain we take too much time. How about get a life, and let Simon build his team to move us forward. Download a copy of Football manager and go run your own club if you need to be this hands on.

Get what your saying but why do we NEED all this "COMMUNICATION" constantly , Why cant we just wait until there is actually something to announce , There's nothing worse in my view than constant interviews etc that are just full of cliches and platitudes all these pre match interviews where the same thing is said every week . Do we really need to be hearing about every thought that is going through every club employees head 24/7 . Lets just be patient & stop blaming lack of (meaningless) Communication for bad manners ,poor social etiquette if not downright rudeness & abuse , its NOT the clubs fault its the person saying/typing it thats at fault

It’s been the worst I’ve ever seen it on here this past week. That bad last night I looked into deleting my account.
The bad feeling and gossip needs to stop. We ALL need to look forward now to a new manager, a new influx of players, a new pitch and a new season which is gonna be a good one ( I can feel it)
Come on folks we’re all one tangerine family and much better than what we’ve all seen recently
Have a lovely day everyone. Smiley. Happy people 😆😆😆😍😍😍

It's certainly been a pretty dire week on here, to be fair if I see threads I don't like or even massively disagree with, especially when they stray into direct abuse, I tend to shrug and pass them by. Yes, the board needs moderation, but you can always refrain from pitching in or even reading further.

Close season is always the worst, no action, waiting for news, gossip and scaremongering, with some posters hell bent on stirring the pot.

We should have one thing in common, to support our football club, we all have different opinions and that's how it should be, we all have favourites and that's how it should be. But we don't need to abuse members of our own tangerine family just because their opinion differs from ours.

So chins up tangerine brethren, look to the future, it might just be tangerine!

We’ve had an influx of new users who have been deliberate trouble makers and we’ve seen from their IP’s that they have got history of this. Sadly it means we won’t be processing new members.
Remedies
(i) lets have them & all new usernames listed on a "sticky ", "welcome new user" Thread where admin announces their arrival whilst reminding them of AVFTT T&Cs .

(ii) Don't bite & respond meaning thread will soon do a Torquay & be relegated out of site .

I've heard SS is planning to sell up and move us to boundary park and put a massive Asda on Bloomfield Road, I'd support that as we need more Asdas and we would be near our planned training ground although FC Rangers would have to relocate. Added to that I'd like to see digital Marks and Spencer steak pies and programs at the ground next season, and the new kit hopefully something different like tangerine tartan with an Irish tricolour woven in to represent the diversity of our town. Lots of reasons to be cheerful!

Good post 👍
I also think the Simon staying silent isn’t helping ether , don’t forget he represents the club to speak to us fans who remember, pay 🤷
communication is key to all good business and anything else in life 🧡

Sadler IMO needs to

- listen to the supporters but ignore/marginalise fans who seek to apply undue pressure.

- build a team of smart people and trust them.

- communicate in a clear and honest manner that sends out the right messages at appropriate times.

All sounds obvious but these things haven't been happening.

A little bit 'scattergun' in your proposals for change, if you don't mind me saying, MW. And don't you know we tend to be quite a conservative bunch here in dear old Blackpool, none of this revolutionary thinking malarkey. Have you been 'on' something, can I ask?

Did I miss something last night? What actually happened and who was on this avftt hitlist?? 🤣
I had a post deleted, which contained a reference to my imaginary Seasiders Living Near Common Edge Rd Supporters Group , having a membership of one. Meanwhile a rather risqué picture of a naked lady ( man, they, them, non-binary, electric toaster ) having fun remained.

Reading and Wigan came down with us and although their fans aren't happy they don't seem to be as toxic as things are at the Seaside. I've watched pool for 50 years and most of the time we have been in the doldrums. Just hope fans chill out now and leave Simon to get things sorted.

That’s a reason why reactions are what they are. Frustration that after so long being held back by our former custodians we get promoted and everything reverts to type with two seasons of having to fund the club in the championship and our only half decent managerial appointment leaving having been assured of the constant work behind the scenes to assess all options and have shortlists blah blah blah.

You can’t escape the nagging feeling that we have been bullshitted and things are just as slow and just as day to day as they were under the clown.

Actually you do have a point, that and Brexit!! (hand grenade 😂)
Don’t blame Brexit! We were lied to whilst everything I could to reverse it. Now the left wing MSM are drawing all our attention to the dingy divers and talking tough for meanwhile they open the door wide open to students and their dependents, Hong Kong Citizens and EU citizens already settled here. Look at the real net migration figures.

Why they think with 10 million unemployed in this Country we need more people to draw on our social welfare system is beyond me.

I did the same Love BFC . I wanted to delete but i'm afraid we are addicted. Only intense residential 6 month therapy can sort this.

Its a serious problem.

I missed all the "trouble" last night as I didn't come on here until the early hours.

I do hope the "toxicity" that some are talking about is nothing to do with the discussion between Curryman and Mary (the artist formerly known as BFC x 3) ?

Curryman told us how used to have to share his y-fronts with his brothers and only got paid £3 a week and Mary told us about the wonders of his generation that has done so much to remove racism/homophobia from society.

To be honest, they both made fair - if somewhat exaggerated - points but they made these points on a thread about the £20 charge for supporters unwilling/unable to manage their season tickets on their mobile phones.

There was talk of deleted/amended posts on the thread but I found the discussion - certainly that between Curry and Mary (with MAC hanging out of his @rse) - to be civil enough.

I'll stop chunnering now, I'd have wasted time by just saying I thought it was far nearer classic AVFTT then a toxic nightmare.

I've not been on here as much of late but maybe I should come on more often, I'd imagine my polite balanced posts and general calming influence would benefit the site far more than the current "Don't post anything I disagree with" moderation process.

They can blame me all they want I'll probably be dead in 20-30 years
In that case you will be no use to the mighty tangerines , not like those pensioners that give their money to the club now . Also if you take a look at the crowd there is a good number of pensioners that go.

BFC X3 ought to consider formally changing his username to this

Mary (the artist formerly known as BFC x 3) :)

It was a different thread entirely.

As another poster has already pointed out, you were included in the roll of honour.

I did wonder at the time how you’d feel being lumped in with the likes of me and, more particularly, BRR 😂 but there we go.

Sorry but I didn’t draft the list.

Actually. Other than the usual spats that were generally handbags, the real issue with said thread was multiple posts from the same user that blatantly made snide, unpleasant and clearly deliberately antagonistic references to Tony Johnson's death and the same poster then pasting porn on a reply.

In both cases the moderation was correct and had nothing to do with 'don't post anything I disagree with'.
