Oxford probably about 4 - 6 months ahead of anyone else in the world
Anyone watch the Covid select committee yesterday? Oxford probably about 4 - 6 months ahead of anyone else in the world, we also now have the capacity to manufacture it in huge quantities.
Brussels likely asking us for help.
Oh and usual question, has anybody double checked the source?
Carling, probably the best lager in the world
Allow me to translate. Your Zzzzzzzzzzz, in English, means: from a pro-Brexit stance I haven't got a hope in hell of defending this so I'll stick my fingers in my ears, yell "la, di-la, la, la then pretend to be asleep.Zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I agree.Carling, probably the best lager in the world
It's got to suit them as well though, hasn't it?I didn’t realise that Brexit meant we were never allowed to deal with the EU if it suited us.
The moment you cited Guido Fawkes as reliable while an ex Chief Scientific Officer is a lefty troublemaker made any request for a source have a miniscule value for perpetuity I'm afraid.Anyone watch the Covid select committee yesterday? But that's what happens with progressive forward thinking, strength in unity works. Think all the states in the USA won't fragment because they know the alternative option is unthinkable. Brexit in 40 or 50 years time and all it's proponents will just become a mere blip on our journey, a small slip in our intelligence and commonsense. Our youth will see to that and not the cobwebbed fantasists of the ERG and their ilk.The original post sets out the rationale for Europe as a trade unit, which was its original purpose. No prohlems with that. The prohlem is its desire to be a political union and much more.
Well there’s no guarantee the US will exist in 100 years time. But that's what happens with progressive forward thinking, strength in unity works. Our youth in 40 or 50 years time may learn about the EU in history because by then that’s what it will be.But that's what happens with progressive forward thinking, strength in unity works. Maybe. But I don’t really get where the hate of the EU comes from. Our youth in 40 or 50 years time may learn about the EU in history because by then that’s what it will be.

Don't think it''ll catch on -this collaborative joint effort to better one another's prospects. Brexit means full spinal column severance from the brain where all reason and common sense plays no more part in our survival.
Allow me to translate. Your Zzzzzzzzzzz, in English, means: from a pro-Brexit stance I haven't got a hope in hell of defending this so I'll stick my fingers in my ears, yell "la, di-la, la, la then pretend to be asleep.
Allow me to translate. You lost. Moan as much as you want and boy do you do that but you lost. Such bitter people. clearly the penny hasn't dropped with you LOSERS..The moment you cited Guido Fawkes as reliable while an ex Chief Scientific Officer is a lefty troublemaker made any request for a source have a miniscule value for perpetuity I'm afraid.
Very mature. What exactly did you win? After four years I'm still waiting a single tangible benefit.Allow me to translate. You lost. Moan as much as you want and boy do you do that but you lost. Such bitter people. clearly the penny hasn't dropped with you LOSERS..
The EU with the collaboration of successive UK governments has subjugated me to an unelected administration over which I have no control either through election or any other non violent means. The referendum was my only chance to free myself from this yolk I took that chance and won. Now please accept the result and get over it. You have had almost 50 years of your way of doing things, now try mine, thank you.Maybe. But I don’t really get where the hate of the EU comes from.
Have they really oppressed us? Some obviously think so.
But I don’t get it.
That's going to be extremely debatable and we will have a much clearer understanding next year where it could be where we all are losers!! No winners in this fantasist self imposed lunancy.Allow me to translate. You lost. Moan as much as you want and boy do you do that but you lost. Such bitter people. clearly the penny hasn't dropped with you LOSERS..
But you voted in the EU elections in the same way as you voted in the UK elections? And probably with as much effect. The EU with the collaboration of successive UK governments has subjugated me to an unelected administration over which I have no control either through election or any other non violent means. The referendum was my only chance to free myself from this yolk I took that chance and won. Now please accept the result and get over it. The EU parliament has zero power so elections to it are just a sop to convince the populace they are taking part. The real power and decisions are taken by the unelected commission.Lon
But you voted in the EU elections in the same way as you voted in the UK elections? And probably with as much effect.
So you could argue against the UK yolk.
Nope still don’t get it.
But clearly some people think they’ve been oppressed by the EU. Can’t really see it myself, but there you go.
And you might say exactly the same about the power of the backbenchers in the House of Commons versus the Government. The EU parliament has zero power so elections to it are just a sop to convince the populace they are taking part. The real power and decisions are taken by the unelected commission.
Whereas the Government in Westminster is wrapped round your little finger; totally under your control...hanging on your every word - yes?The EU with the collaboration of successive UK governments has subjugated me to an unelected administration over which I have no control either through election or any other non violent means. The referendum was my only chance to free myself from this yolk I took that chance and won. Now please accept the result and get over it. To be replaced by an unelected and unaccountable leader in Dominic Cummings. Great. The EU with the collaboration of successive UK governments has subjugated me to an unelected administration over which I have no control either through election or any other non violent means. That’s surely not a generalisation is it?Nice to see the cogent responses from the Little Englanders.
Our powerless backbenchers, not French, German etc. etc.And you might say exactly the same about the power of the backbenchers in the House of Commons versus the Government.
So why is one vote more effective than the other?
Can be voted out.Whereas the Government in Westminster is wrapped round your little finger; totally under your control...hanging on your every word - yes?
You and your ilk are obsessed with Cummings. To be replaced by an unelected and unaccountable leader in Dominic Cummings. Great.
So can the European Parliament. But neither can be voted out for a good few years. So, that's democracy for you. You are empowered once every 4-5 years. Power to the People. Can be voted out.
Well stop mention unelected bureaucrats then. The home grown one has far more power than anyone in Brussels in relation to what goes on here. You and your ilk are obsessed with Cummings.
Would you like an election once a month? So can the European Parliament. But neither can be voted out for a good few years. So, that's democracy for you. You are empowered once every 4-5 years. Power to the People.
They aren’t unelected bureaucrats, they are an unelected Government. He is one man.Well stop mention unelected bureaucrats then. The home grown one has far more power than anyone in Brussels in relation to what goes on here.
They will never get over it.Moan, moan moan moan ,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. you lost. Get over it.
A devolution of power to localities would provide more opportunity for influence - not necessarily voting but a chance to have a real say over local (eg. North West / Lancashire / West Lancs) issues.Would you like an election once a month?
But you've had 4 years to convince and persuade us to see the glorious future that could be ours with gold edged trade deals. So far, zero, zilch, FA a mundo. Hardly our fault we raise suspicions to the claims you all made to us.Moan, moan moan moan ,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. you lost. Get over it.
At last, and I never thought it would happen, we have come to an agreement over something.A devolution of power to localities would provide more opportunity for influence - not necessarily voting but a chance to have a real say over local (eg. North West / Lancashire / West Lancs) issues.
A dictator then? And by the way, the bureaucrats are chosen by the elected representatives, like Nigel Farage. Therefore accountable to you and I. Cummings is answerable to no one but decides the future strategy of this country. Democracy my arse. They aren’t unelected bureaucrats, they are an unelected Government. He is one man.
The country might never get over it, never mind me.They will never get over it.
We managed for a long, long time before, I’m sure we will manage after leaving. If we ever do.The country might never get over it, never mind me.
but only just scraping along treading water. Why did we join the Common Market? We managed for a long, long time before, I’m sure we will manage after leaving. If we ever do.
Except we don't have an Empire to fall back onWe managed for a long, long time before, I’m sure we will manage after leaving. If we ever do.
My vote actually counted for more in EU elections with it being PR and not first past the post.Lon
