Gerrard wants to sign Henderson for his Saudi Club. What will the PL be without aimless back passes?
And I thought he'd nicked Neil Critchley, pre-season, again.LOL on seeing that heading I thought we had just sold Jerry Yates
If this goes ahead, I'm sure Henderson is going to 'relish' the challenge. And it's not just me thinks this, I've been told the same by a very reliable 'sauce'.Gerrard wants to sign Henderson for his Saudi Club. What will the PL be without aimless back passes?
Tarantula I’ve never heard of a Gerrard sauce? If this goes ahead, I'm sure Henderson is going to 'relish' the challenge. And it's not just me thinks this, I've been told the same by a very reliable 'sauce'.
He's a defensive midfielder, what do you actually want from him?Gerrard wants to sign Henderson for his Saudi Club. What will the PL be without aimless back passes?
To actually pass a ball forward rather than the usual backwards pass to a colleague that has just given him the ball. It serves no technical purpose and only exemplifies the total lack of skill he actually has. His assist and goal scoring ratio, even for a defensive midfielder, especially in free scoring club and International sides is abysmal. Motivationally he’s good and that’s why he’s won so much with Liverpool, but there has been and is far better players than Hendo especially at International level. He's a defensive midfielder, what do you actually want from him?
He is a defensive midfielder that cant tackle and goes missing against good opposition and thats a fact .He is brilliant at pointing then passing it pointlessly back to the player he received it from giving him good stats .Just watch him from this prospective and you will realise what an average player he is .Liverpools midfield has been the worst for decades and carried by the front players thus the reason he plays .He's a defensive midfielder, what do you actually want from him?
But that’s half the point - his aren’t even that good they usually are about 10m. Henderson is a cut above with his motivational skills which obviously Klopp and useless Southgate appreciate. But he is not a particular good footballer. Pundits regularly make excuses for him.492 games for Liverpool
77 England caps
MBE
Liverpool Captain
League Cup winner
Champions League winner
UEFA Super cup winner
FIFA Club World Cup winner
Premier League winner, same season FWA Footballer of the year
FA Cup winner
EFL cup winner
Clearly his backpasses did the trick, wish my backpasses had been half as good
Of course his time's come. Just like any other player or athlete for that matter. It's called father time and it catches up with anyone. But that’s half the point - his aren’t even that good they usually are about 10m. Henderson is a cut above with his motivational skills which obviously Klopp and useless Southgate appreciate. But he is not a particular good footballer. Pundits regularly make excuses for him.
To be perfectly fair to him, since Southgate has played him in a more advanced role, he has improved slightly. It’s no coincidence that Klopp is now buying young skilful midfielders. I think Hendo’s time has come.

no probs Rusty , he would just point at somebody to pick them up.Of course his time's come. Just like any other player or athlete for that matter. It's called father time and it catches up with anyone.
I just hope he's careful not to injure his back as he walks off in to the sunset carrying his huge medal and trophy haul.
You don't play as a top league and international player by just being motivational. You also don't mention his ability to pick a pass, tackle and also make assists and goals. But that’s half the point - his aren’t even that good they usually are about 10m. Henderson is a cut above with his motivational skills which obviously Klopp and useless Southgate appreciate. But he is not a particular good footballer. Pundits regularly make excuses for him.

Winning big trophies and playing for England are seemingly incompatibleHe'll turn it down. Gets far too much pleasure winding you up! Winning the big trophies and playing for England.
He's done both.Winning big trophies and playing for England are seemingly incompatible
Winning big trophies for England...He's done both.
He's done both winning big trophies and playing for England. Captain in both instances....Winning big trophies for England...
No comprende...Tarantula I’ve never heard of a Gerrard sauce?
I don't mention it, because other than passing back to the previous recipient, it doesn't happen...period.You also don't mention his ability to pick a pass, tackle and also make assists and goals.
...But you've read it.On here to promote his anti Henderson shite, don't give a fig for Lpool, but go get a life pal, you are a bore. You must have a had a great career and life and Klopp and all the others that have managed him know shite.
I don't mention it, because other than passing back to the previous recipient, it doesn't happen...period.
JBPS, 'assists and goals', now you are really having a laugh. Check his stats for his career before making profound statements like that.
...But you've read it.
and yes Ive had a most rewarding career both in football and public service, thanks for asking.
...and as for Klopp and Henderson, if you've actually read my previous posts over the eons, you might have actually grasped what I actually think of Henderson, but maybe that's too taxing for you on a Forum that's designed to have opinions.
As I intimated before, he has been part of a Liverpool side that for several years has been free scoring, and Hendersons stats are frankly embarrassing, as is his contribution in an England side. A professional might be jealous of the trophies he has somehow managed to acquire by being part of the team, but his technical record is way below average, and even more so with the point I made before.as a defensive midfielder, he’s got stats most professionals would dream of having over a career.
Why did Klopp keep picking him then?As I intimated before, he has been part of a Liverpool side that for several years has been free scoring, and Hendersons stats are frankly embarrassing, as is his contribution in an England side. Blindness isn't the issue its fans being blinkered that is, or willing to accept mediocrity as the norm.
So as well as Klopp and Southgate all the football writers were wrong as well then?As I intimated before, he has been part of a Liverpool side that for several years has been free scoring, and Hendersons stats are frankly embarrassing, as is his contribution in an England side. Bit generous with 'all'. Several Ive read over the last few seasons including fellow professionals who would certainly disagree with your comment, including three ex-Liverpool players.all the football writers were wrong as well then?
As Ive repeated several times Lytham, Henderson cannot be faulted for his inspiration he gives to younger players and motivation on the pitch. Klopp obviously values that highly and has gained success because of his decision. Why did Klopp keep picking him then?
Define quality, because even the Happy Hendo Brigade probably wouldn't go as far as that. Not a great fan of the premier league but Henderson is a quality player
Roy Keane's analysis of Backpass is comedy gold!Gerrard wants to sign Henderson for his Saudi Club. What will the PL be without aimless back passes?
So what's your problem with him? Did you also run an anti Nobby agenda on 1960s AVFTT.As Ive repeated several times Lytham, Henderson cannot be faulted for his inspiration he gives to younger players and motivation on the pitch. Klopp obviously values that highly and has gained success because of his decision.
Likewise Southgate has openly stated the value of his 'presence' in the team/squad.
Neither have creamed themselves over his football ability, and it's no coincidence that in his tenure at Liverpool, no team has publicly gone for him in the transfer window. Brendan Rodgers famously wanted him transferred, but to Hendersons credit he stuck it out.
Sometimes the Hendersons of the world don't need to be good footballers in order to succeed as they have other qualities needed by a team. Nobby Stiles was such a player, not skilful at all but valued by Ramsey and Busby for his contributions.
Yep, brilliant.Roy Keane's analysis of Backpass is comedy gold!
Miles out of context, Keane rates him, gave him his debut, this was in response to him being called up while injured.Roy Keane's analysis of Backpass is comedy gold!
No it's not you daft **. See above.Yep, brilliant.
Ive seen it before and is one of several from ex-pros who question his ability.
The Backpass Henderson thread my be informative in that respect. So what's your problem with him? Did you also run an anti Nobby agenda on 1960s AVFTT.
Daft **, get you.No it's not you daft **. See above.
goose are you back in the States snorting that medicinal cannabis again?Probably oneof the top three defensive midfielders in the world ever. Absolute majestic, makes the game seem like a strollin the park.
Like magic Bendit appears. No I’m over here at the moment back Sunday. Come on he’s a top top player who’s won everything and been picked by a selection of different managers.goose are you back in the States snorting that medicinal cannabis again?
So old Backpass is better than Simeone, Souness,Davids,Deschamps,Vieira,Makelele,Keane,Rijkaard,Matthaus,Giles,Pirlo,Mackay,Bremner,Bonhof,Pep G,Robson,Tardelli,Dunga, Kante to name a few.
Deary, deary me......I'll put it down to Jetlag, permanent jet lag.
Yep even when you’re completely and utterly wrong. I hope your former police work analysed and deduced things more accurately. The Backpass Henderson thread my be informative in that respect.
Anti Nobby Agenda - priceless
It's surprising with the amount of Flac I get on this Forum, how many actually agree with me. My opinion is he is one of the most overrated players ever, and I mean ever, to wear an England shirt and although I can't stick the Scousers, likewise.
Surprisingly many posters never address the points raised about his technical ability but bleat on about how many trophies he's won without substantiating anything about his skill set.Its an opinion led Forum so everyones entitled to one including me.
Hope you and yours are keeping well too. UTMPLike magic Bendit appears. No I’m over here at the moment back Sunday. Come on he’s a top top player who’s won everything and been picked by a selection of different managers.
hope you are well .
How many assists and goals does he have then ? I think you will find it's terrible and amongst the worstYou don't play as a top league and international player by just being motivational. You also don't mention his ability to pick a pass, tackle and also make assists and goals.
Some people only see what they want to see...
