Quite a bit of speculation that the 21yr old Swansea striker could be included in the deal involving Yates. Oxford fans are very keen to sign him following a successful loan period with them last season. Given he has roots in Scotland and is on record of saying he wants 1st team football, maybe he would fit the bill? Swansea paid £500K for him a couple or seasons back, so it would make sense.

Made his first senior debut against Blackpool according to wiki.

My only concern is if it’s us or Oxford does he have Koi carp?
 
Played nearly whole season for Oxford last season , so now knows what league is about. Scored 9 goals in league
would like to see the Jerry money if true put back into the squad in more signings , we still look light up front and on right side wing

I’ve just posted on another thread surely they club need to issue a statement regarding Yates?
They were quick to dismiss the Critchley’s off again rumours so it would be nice to have confirmation one way or the other. 🤷‍♂️
 
Not convinced Swansea will let a promising 21 year old striker go out unless it's a loan.
 
I don't think it will happen as part of the Yates deal, but it definitely should. Maybe on loan, but that's no good to us in the medium to long term.
 
Would be a good signing and I really hope this explains the low amount we are getting for Jerry but it probably won’t.

Yes all for that but sadly it looks like the club are dragging its heels again on this one as just abut everyone is running with the story he’s already gone and if he hasn’t then say so that all I’m saying here I’m most certainly not ITK like most claim to be on here so a statement would be most appreciated.

They'll make a statement when a deal is completed. It might take more than a few hours to discuss terms etc.

Not the best source but Oxford fan reporting it on a generic football football forum. They said close to signing Harris too.
 
Questions have to be asked whether the money they are spending is sustainable. Their fans won't give a toss until the funding is removed (not saying it will) and they become the next Reading/Derby/Wigan/Bury etc.

From what I've seen they seem to think it was an either or between Harris and Joseph. I have a feeling there is a player involved in the transfer for Yates and he appears to be the most likely.

I have a feeling some 'Pool fans are trying to speak this Joseph thing into existence. I understand and I hope I'm wrong, but lets not get our hopes up.

We'd better be pursuing Jez replacements as we speak.

If the rumours of Leicester and others having bid 2.5m and we've accepted SC's bid of that amount, again rumour, then it would take something like this to separate the 2 bids. Especially considering that LC are more likely to meet add ons, or is that offset by more games at Swansea? I dunno, I've confused myself.
 
Let's be real, we have no idea who the club are talking too and neither to any of the journalists that say they do. All of our signings have pretty much come our of the blue and that's the way the club want it. All the info about Yates and Swansea has come from their side not us. We won't have a clue who we are signing untill they've signed and been announced. The whole Critchley BS from last week proves that.

Well it's all rumour, and also Jerry may have chosen/preferred to go to Swansea. We don't know what the score is, basically. And until it is finalised there is still the possibility of a new higher bid, I guess. A lot of people seem to lurch into full swing on social media based on something they have heard assuming it is the whole truth. And that a simple decision has been made to sell at half the value of the player so the owner must be an idiot.
