C J today

I wonder if Critch identified their right back as CJs victim so swapped him over?
That’s Critchball for you.

This is what Critchley means when he talks about adapting to the opposition. It isn't just about being reactionary defensively, it's about exploiting their weaknesses.

It also means now that both the opposition right back and their left back need to prepare for facing him.

He was brilliant today going forward and also looked strong in the tackle (can't believe I've typed that). He's really growing into thr wing back role, which the coaching team should take some credit for. Well done to CJ, Calderwood and McCall.

Some apologies required from the usual suspects - we don’t win that game without CJ
I won't be apologizing for anything yet...

All these posts do is highlight how abject he has been for three seasons barring five good games at most in that whole time.
The last time someone did one of these posts he scored 2/10 the next game and both points were for the fact he managed to get his shirt on the right way around he was that bad.

When he performs on a regular basis then I will heap praise on him.

I'm sure he can't wait until your positive review . His confidence shall go though the roof knowing that he finally has your approval .
Criticise if someone is abject but if someone rips it up then it's not actually a sign of weakness to give them a bit of praise

With all due respect you’re talking absolute bollocks.
That’s his 5th good game this season, never mind the last three years.

You earn praise and he has earned every bit of criticism

I praised him last week during the game and he has done well again today but I am just pointing out these performances have to be the norm for him.

I'll hold my hand up as a CJ critic but I love to be proved wrong.
But what the fcuk was Critch doing playing him on the left today??? 😂

As has been suggested elsewhere, it looks like Critch switched him to exploit their right back. No doubt order will be restored on Tuesday and he'll be back in his "natural" position of right wing back.

We need to get all the players who are out off contract at the end of season new deals . Cj Casey husband Connolly lavery etc

but you never come on and say when he is poor, Why is that? Because you can't even be honest with yourself. It cuts both ways but as per usual you disappear after a poor CJ performance. At least have the guts to come on and say so. And yes today CJ did well. But should I bookmark this thread for when he has a bad game?

That would be petty.

Search my posts - I 100% say when he’s poor. Also don’t make out that it’s weirder to want your player to do well, than want him to fail.

Well that’s 2 very good games in a week for starters

Loads of people said 3 5 2 was the problem, it wasn't Connolly at LWB was.
Connolly had a good performance today in the sort of area where he should be played.
Hamilton was also played in the sort of area where he should be played and did well.
He isn't good when the opposition look to defend and play a low block and give him no space to run into. This is where Critchley needs to be clever and second guess the opponents and decide if Hamilton starts or not.

Good performance from CJ today. Won us the game pretty much. But it isn’t a coincidence that Critch has put another attacking player on the opposite side. Makes us less one dimensional.

He still has a lot of limitations.

He has been very good the last few games. Not only has he got his pace back, but also better close control. It is both factors that are more regularly beating players and drawing them into giving penalties away. He also had a couple of terrific shots as well.
One area that there is still some room for improvement is the quality of his crosses.

....and paddle isn't being petty? Or antagonistic? Posters like him making comments about CJ always appear after a good a performance never a bad one. Total lack of honesty.

Not sure it’s antagonistic to expect Blackpool supporters to … support a Blackpool player

no but people have done. I want every BFC player to do well but what I don't do unlike you is come on and have a dig at fans when a particular player has a good game because it makes you feel like you are right. And let's face it, that's the only point you are trying to make. Otherwise why make the comment you did?

Put him in an advanced position where he can run onto the ball and not in the defensive third and he’ll play well most games

It’s just so obvious

Last 20 mins he was less effective, because he was asked to tuck in and sit deep which is half understandable when defending a one nil lead but NOT from the start

If even Kurt says he had an OK game, he must’ve had a ** stormer.

At least I’m not desperate to make him a scapegoat and threatening to bookmark threads - my original post seems to have a decent amount of likes so clearly not alone.

Have you ever considered people don’t come on here after a loss because the doom and gloom is always 100x the positivity after a victory?

have you ever considered it's a football message board and you take the rough with the smooth. After all, that's pretty much what being a Blackpool supporter is all about.

When they ignore the good games and focus on the negative it doesn't help the player or the team.
discussing the merits of a player on a msb doesn't help a player or the the team? I've read some excuses on here but that really is taking the biscuit.

Unfortunately that’s the level of certain posters intelligence
I think the lack of intelligence is yours. After all, are you suggesting that a persons expressed opinion on a msb has an impact on the players performance on the pitch.
