According to Alan Nixon claims Rotherham have accepted our bid usually a good source. Wonder if he will be used to .model new kit launch

Sometimes personal terms are agreed before the actual transfer fee is agreed, as weird and backwards as that sounds.Doesn't mean we have talked to Yates or agreed a deal with him
It wasn't with Karl Oyston! Besides normal rules say you can't speak to a player until a fee is agreed. Otherwise it is classified as tapping upSometimes personal terms are agreed before the actual transfer fee is agreed, as weird and backwards as that sounds.
It goes on and is largely ignored these daysIt wasn't with Karl Oyston! Besides normal rules say you can't speak to a player until a fee is agreed. Otherwise it is classified as tapping up
I'm guessing mid 1970s could be the last time we had a player called Jerry as well? Would love to see Weston crack the first team. Jerry and Tony up front! In my football reference brain, the hierarchy of football stopped in the mid 1970's
So We are a good 2nd Division side, Rotherham are lower 3rd Div. as are T'rovers
The team that won this league last season? Its a worry, we are looking to Rotherham for players....
Rotherham??? Who the heck are they...???
Oh the irony...The team that won this league last season?
Whoooosh!Oh the irony...
Plain weird isn't it? Already written off by some on here despite them never having seen him playNo doubt the lad will be given no time to settle in and will be crap if he doesn't score a Sherrill of goals.
Who's written him off? Everyone seems keen for him to sign apart from a few impatient folk who only want players who hate money and bleed tangerinePlain weird isn't it? Already written off by some on here despite them never having seen him play
There has been posts from some people saying they were bored of it all and we should move on (despite Yates not having any input). This will then somehow have mutated in their minds to him being a big time money grabbing Charlie who has wasted the clubs time.Who's written him off? Everyone seems keen for him to sign apart from a few impatient folk who only want players who hate money and bleed tangerine
What makes you say that?this is going to be another one or two weeks to finalise
he is on holiday isn't heWhat makes you say that?
He was, last week. No idea where he is now.he is on holiday isn't he
Seen a few in various locations describe him as not good enoughWho's written him off? Everyone seems keen for him to sign apart from a few impatient folk who only want players who hate money and bleed tangerine
He has proved a good partnership with Keishi, and if he was a pivotal player for a promotion push then it makes sense to offer a small transfer and maybe a sell on clause to Rotherham. To be honest, ANY fee in this current (& future) climate is madness
He can't still be surely? Karl Oyston had shorter holidays than this during the transfer window!he is on holiday isn't he
I think that quote is errornous and factually incorrect. He can't still be surely? Karl Oyston had shorter holidays than this during the transfer window!
There was a podcast on this site I listened too a couple of days ago. The Seasiders podcast guy speaking with the Swindon equivelent. Excellent piece and according to the Swindon guy we would be getting a good one in Yates. Said Swindon fans rated him highly (more so than Doyle and Keshi). They really wanted him back. Played wide most games (in a front 3) and when he played centre (Doyle out etc) he scored every game.
Where did you listen to that?
I’ve hardly seen any content from the podcast, which I thought was a bit strange given everyone’s sat around there was a big audience for them.
There's been plenty uploaded on Spotify, but for some reason they're not coming up on the main website. Think it might be because they need to add a page for the new season. @Trimm-Trab could probably tell you more!
Wellens is going to have the proper hump when he is unveiled at Blackpool!Town have put 'good' bid in for Rotherham striker Yates
Swindon Town have put in an offer for ex-loan striker Jerry Yates, says manager Richie Wellens.www.thisiswiltshire.co.uk
90% of the time he is right. I fancy our chances with this!Nixon is normally spot on but doesnt get everything right. Until it is confirmed by the club we are all guessing.
Gerry Ingram, a blond bomber. Dubious football origins from the other end of the M55 (before it was built) but he turned into a good'un.I'm guessing mid 1970s could be the last time we had a player called Jerry as well? Would love to see Weston crack the first team. Jerry and Tony up front!
There is always a chance that Swindon match our offer and payment terms...... however if our bid has been accepted and we agree a contract with Yates, they may not get that chance.Nixon is normally spot on but doesnt get everything right. Until it is confirmed by the club we are all guessing.
