Vaping at the match.

Its classed as smoking in an enclosed workplace. https://www.gov.uk/smoking-at-work-the-law
It's also policy of the club under their entry rules. All clubs officials should stop it.
Edit: just because the supporter isn't at work, he still must comply with the law. Its the same law that prohibited smoking in pubs. The stadium is classed as an enclosed space. Outside even on BFC land, its not enforceable unless its under the underpass of the west stand.

It is not illegal to vape in public places including stadia and pubs. A non vaping policy is very common and private businesses are fully entitled to impose a ban if they wish and many do. It is a matter for the club and stewards to enforce if they wish, I have no idea what the policy is.

I smoke buy wouldnt even consider one of these things. I NEVER take a cigarette anywhere near . its just another loophole. because they can they do. tell him to do one next time.

"The law doesn’t apply to e-cigarettes. Employers can decide if they can be used on their premises."

Whether or not vaping falls under smoking at work law legislation, entry policy will be no vaping within the stadium.

I'm torn over this.

I'm a never smoker; but given the addictive nature of nicotine and the stressful nature of football; it's almost inevitable.

I do think that people who vape, vape more than most smokers smoke. From experience, vapers seem to have less time between needing the nicotine top up.

I think providing there's a little bit of courtesy (in the same way must people are careful about swearing around young kids) I'd not ban it.

But I can understand if you've got asthma etc, or some dickhead is almost blowing it in your face, why you'd not want it for 90 minutes.

Our performance at Bolton meant it was never out of my mouth. Don't do it at Bloomfield, maybe the odd sneaky one but mindful of people around me.

I am always amazed at how much vapour these things can kick out . Sometimes it’s like sitting next to a bloody smoke bomb !

Most places don't want to ban this harmless British medical association recommended practice but do so to save hassle from self righteous do gooders moaning about it .Some people always have to have a bee in their bonnet it seems to make them happy .Think it's sad even seen people grassing on people harmlessly vaping on their cruise balcony's which is pathetic .I vape everywhere and nobody going to stop me I don't blow any harmless water vapour out I stealth vape to avoid the do gooders whining about it .It's nobody else's business really

It is someone else's business. It's the clubs business and like all stadiums, vaping like smoking is banned.

It’s not harmless, it makes me choke like I have asthma and even cigarette smoke doesn’t do that to me.
Do what you want in your own space, but not where you shouldn't, then we all know the rules.

It’s no worse than some pissed up nobhead stinking of ale around you imo. None are nice n both as bad but club makes cash from ale so that makes it ok.

Agree with this. At the back of the south we have to suffer them staggering too and from the Heineken - throughout the game.

I'll admit to having having a vape or two, but try to be considerate.

There was someone farting near us at the Northampton game & that really did make your eyes water. Even the biggest vapes would pail into insignificance compared with that. What a load of whingers. 🙄

Vapes seem to have encouraged far more usage by women and school-aged teenagers than cigarettes ever did. That is not good. Having seen the chemical makeup of some of the counterfeit vapes seized by trading standards, those using them are risking their health. Smoking vapes is a matter for the users but it should not be done in the ground surrounded by others.

i’m an x smoker turned vaper. I never had a cig in the ground so don’t see the need to vape in the ground especially sat/stood watching the game.
The west concourse can do one though that’s when i start the vaping after the game.

I till vape now and then, not because I'm a ** (I'm one of those for many different reasons) but because I don't want to die of throat cancer like my Dad and the cigs were getting a bit heavy on my lungs.

I don't really do it in public, because it looks ** stupid whereas fags looked cool, I've no idea why non smokers take them up and I've no idea why people buy stupid flavours, tobacco or menthol only for me.

I suppose at least it gives the 12 year old hard knocks something to lob at the away keeper.

Must be proud that you need to suck on plastic because you can’t handle life’s everyday ups and downs. Bet you are really good in a crisis.

Most of the ingredients are already in some asthma inhalers, so probably not harmfiul to asthmatics

So you think if some ignorant berk blows smoke in my face I'm a righteous do gooder if I complain and ask him to stop ?

As somebody who has vaped in the past it is very easy to do it in a way that nobody would ever notice. There's also different types of vapes, all deliver nicotine into your system but some only produce a small amount of vapor. If I was going to a match i'd bring something that is very discreet, produces hardly any vapor and when I took a "hit" i'd hold it in my mouth for 10-15 seconds so hardly any vapor is produced. People blowing it everywhere are inconsiderate for sure and it's totally avoidable, they'll only ruin it for themselves in the end though.

Is it illegal to vape at matches ? guy in front of me keeps using one and I had to ask him to stop as it was blowing in my face. He did stop but was muttering. Other people around us agreed with me. I didn't want to cause a scene but if carries on I will.
Had to ask a ‘lady’ to stop who kept leaning past her two kids and blowing it straight in my face every 2 minutes. Should be barred if they’re not

Kryst Sooty, you've got me wondering and worrying now. Mine do tend to figure at the more aggressive end of the spectrum.

You're not in block J are you?

I’m not bothered if people vape or not, blowing it in peoples faces is knobhead behaviour, in the same way I wouldn’t eat tuna sandwiches on a train

What a gobshite!

My Autistic son stopped going to matches because of an inconsiderate vaper in the row in front of us, he's incredibly sensitive to smell and no matter what you say vaping still isn't pleasant. Stewards are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Problem is people always think of themselves and that the rules don't apply to them. Call it whingeing if you want, for me it's being considerate to others, a British value that seems to be on a steady decline.

Blimey I'd you can pick up an SBD all the way from J block to E block it's time someone saw a doctor 😬
Do you mind. I've just had confirmation of possibly my only talent in life. I'm not having any halfwit, and probably unsympathetic, GP suggest ways to stop it.

Im afraid J and, depending on wind direction (not mine), three blocks either side will just have to learn to adapt and survive.
