So the window opens on Monday. Will Sky have news of Blackpool moves then, or do we have to wait until the end of the month?
 
The CEO talks of bringing one or two in, but if they are only replacing outgoings, e.g. Marv and Kenny, I do not see how that improves the team, unless we are paying considerable transfer fees and that is not going to happen!
 
If 'Terry Thomas' is an example of the calibre of player we're after then we'll be watching lower league football for many years to come. The Club needs a reboot and that should start by giving Clueless Critchley the boot.
 
Dougall and Ekpiteta contracts both expire in the summer so they will have been looking for 2 to 3 year deals from the club. I doubt they received assurances those contracts would be forthcoming as it looks as though we will be league 1 for the foreseeable. Their agents will have been looking for options. The club will be looking to bring in younger, cheaper players for development and re-sale. That’s the plan as I understand it , as per the Brighton model (just with much less money…)
 
Also my mate is a charlton fan and comments on Terrell Thomas are not complimentary. It is however NCs job as he keeps telling us to ‘improve players’…

Don’t think he has been terrible at all - he is just not ready for a team at the top end of lg1. I always felt he was brought in to make up the numbers when we did not get Moxon from Carlisle. I suspect we will go in again for Moxon with a decent chance of getting him now he has 6 months left.

Im surprised there has been no interest in Macauley Langstaff, he's still banging them in now in League 2 and would fit our CF position if Rhodes was to be recalled.
Also I'd be looking at Fiorini and getting him back in as he should be close to a return after his op in August. He'd be great in CM and word was he was close to joining Reading in the summer before his op.
 
The players we want to get, we won't get. Instead we'll get random signings without a purpose like Rhodes and Dembele.

I've seen every single appearance and not once did he make much of an impression. I'm sure he has more about him but anyone who has seen his contribution can't argue with him being sent back.

Do you actually support Blackpool? It's just an endless torrent of drivel mixed with abuse. Every team in this division would be over the moon to have either Jordan Rhodes or Dembele. If you can't appreciate what they bring to the team then there is no hope for you. Same with Kyle Joseph, he's not Jerry Yates atm but given time to develop and improve he will be a big asset.

I watched a bit of the Sunderland vs. Knobbers game earlier and they have nothing in the same class as Dembele and Rhodes. They're still playing Ched Evans upfront! Who are the players we want to get? I am sure our Recruitment team would love your input!

We have a handy squad now. The problem is we have a manager who up to now under utilizes the players he has and who has an ego that gets in the way of making sound decisions.
 
Think I might stay off social media this month. Quick look through twater and I've seen rumours about Apter signing for Tranmere, someone's who says his uncle know Rhodes agents brother and he's defo signing permanently with us, another saying we already have agreed personal terms with Moxon and are just negotiating a fee and another one saying we will be announcing Thomas from Charlton in the next couple of days. Silly season is well and truly upon us.

But they don’t need him yet. It’s the FA Cup on Saturday and he’s already Cup tied. They may as well let him have another game before calling him back. That said, I hope they don’t want him.

I don't buy this, if they are desperate for him, would they really risk him getting injured playing in a cup game for us? Surely you get him back and into training?

Yes, you’re possibly right. Let’s hope they decide against it anyway.
 
A lot of people are missing the point. For argument ‘s sake let’s say we sign Rhodes and Dembele. As the table and stats tell us we are still short of the play offs. Our manager has to do better so really it’s a question of how Sadler can help to make that happen.
