I think the thing is, every time this season, we’ve had a chance to get in the play-off zone or to make a big push or a Wembley final we’ve fucked it. Results have gone for us before and we’ve not grabbed the opportunity.
This has often been due to a lack of intensity, desire to actually win the game via negative selections or tactics that’s left you thinking we’re just all too nicey nice and haven’t got the balls to do it.
We’re still relying on others flapping it, but I hope we tip up on Saturday and are bang at it from the off, but knowing what we’ve seen so far I doubt it and we’ll probably draw it after having a late go at winning the game, by throwing on Kouassi and pumping alehouse balls to him.
Could be wrong and Neil Critchley could be a football genius, but when goal difference could be crucial, not going for it more at Carlisle and bringing on Virtue for a striker could sum up our problems all season.
