Bloody hell.. we're still in it!!!

The results certainly went in our favour tonight...although Pompey made hard work of it.

It's back in our hands again (more or less) have we got the spuds to make it through???

My mind says no but my heart says "fuck yeah"

Gone from 15% chance to 30% chance. Win on Saturday it’ll be around 40% chance.

I just can’t see Barnsley losing to Northampton or Oxford not winning one of their final 2 games. But like they say, it’s the hope that kills you

Oxford play Friday night v Stevenage which I can’t see them not winning …..😁…after my excellent tip there bound to lose….they were pretty average against Lincoln so i’m guessing their massively bottling it now…….

It’d go off goal difference if that’s the case. Don’t think Blackpool do more than 1 goal a game with Careful Critch.

At the very least tonight makes Saturday interesting
Which is precisely why, just this once, Critch has to free himself of the shackles that have been stymieing him all season long and just 'let the dogs loose' from here on in, and see where it takes us. FFS - just 'go for it!'

It’s not in our hands but all we can do is keep winning.

We can play our part as much as we can by getting bloomers bouncing .

Let’s not have any regrets from a fan perspective .

It’s not in our hands at all, it should be, but our negative away tactics designed by Critchley, took that away.

Now we’re relying on us winning our last two games and Oxford, Lincoln and Barnsley dropping enough points for us to scrape into the playoffs. Unlikely, but possible.

I'm expecting a more likely scenario of a barnstorming win on Saturday. Possibly coming from behind with a late winner. Then losing 2-0 at Reading with a really lackluster performance and a starting X1 that has the away end all going 'what the fuck is that formation?' pre-match.

Not in our hands in the slightest. Win both and we still rely on others. Still in with a shout though so fingers crossed.

Anything can happen in April; shock results are common place because there’s no safety net. Nerves and pressure rule. It’s actually easier to play when you’re an outside bet, rather than a front runner; “sure things” become difficult. One serious obstacle in my head is Pool’s last match.
I have nothing but bad memories of Reading. Six defeats in six league visits to the MAD. To top it off, Gnando’s penalty in the Cup. Should it come down to the last game, I can give all Pool supporters the assurance that I will NOT go to watch. That might break the spell.

I think the thing is, every time this season, we’ve had a chance to get in the play-off zone or to make a big push or a Wembley final we’ve fucked it. Results have gone for us before and we’ve not grabbed the opportunity.

This has often been due to a lack of intensity, desire to actually win the game via negative selections or tactics that’s left you thinking we’re just all too nicey nice and haven’t got the balls to do it.

We’re still relying on others flapping it, but I hope we tip up on Saturday and are bang at it from the off, but knowing what we’ve seen so far I doubt it and we’ll probably draw it after having a late go at winning the game, by throwing on Kouassi and pumping alehouse balls to him.

Could be wrong and Neil Critchley could be a football genius, but when goal difference could be crucial, not going for it more at Carlisle and bringing on Virtue for a striker could sum up our problems all season.

0-0 with 72% possession on Saturday. Another clean sheet. Job Done!

Exactly. I'd rather be in a 'we've just got to win' place, rather than a 'we only need one win, or one point, and its ours' place. Being us.

Blackpool would have a better goal difference than Barnsley if we win both and they draw or lose their last game.

You'd think if ever there was a time this season to go for it, Saturday is it. It's a cup final-type game that we need to win. Surely as a player it shouldn't need the manager to get you pumped up for it. Should be at it from the start, get the stands jumping and try and get an early goal before going at it again fro another. Barnsley will be well up for it too, we need to match and better their intensity.

Because the fixture gods were good to us with the run in, I never doubted it would go down to the wire.
At the end of the season, the tables don't lie and those who go up or down deserve what they get.
Our players can only do what they can do and hope the other results go in our favour.
It's been a poor season in a very poor league, but it ain't over yet 🧡

I think Critchley has decided we aren’t going to score goals how ever much we try and push it so any lead we get will most likely see the bus getting parked up.

At the end of the day we are still 8th and have held that position for months, so suspect that is where we will end up
