Keep well behaved and stay clear of trouble today, please !!

Yes Wembley 2012 should never have happened I know it’s difficult to miss a big game but in 2012 they could have watched it on TV and today listen to the radio, or at he very least just shut up and give no indication as to who you are supporting

Yeah I was offered to go in home end for today, but not worth potential trouble. I don't think I could keep schtum if we bagged anyway. So going to watch on ifollow πŸ‘

Dont get involved in silly stupid behaviour !!! You put your own pool future at stake, as well as our fantastic future !!! Support our team in the most respectful way !!!
Let's enjoy today and watch our team grow from strength to strength, with a little patience too. #UTMP πŸ‘πŸ‘Have a great day all πŸ‘πŸ‘
100% - if we get whupped, take it on the chin and show a bit of class. Definitely no chants of 'we're ** shit' - PLEASE πŸ’ͺ

no issue with going in the home end. I've done it at Fwood twice and before now even done Burnley (Preece winner).

You just need to keep your mouth shut - its not difficult.

Exactly Halifax. I doubt i will have any problem. It’s not like we have differing accents or anything!

When you grew up in a Victorian workhouse you know how to handle yourself...even when you’re over 100 eh Dave? πŸ˜‰

Have done Burnley undercover in the 90s when we sold out our allocation once.
I was on the open end - I was surprised how much they hated Dave Bamber - sign of quality IMO.
It's not hard, you just have to keep your mouth shut.
Also went in the shed watching Chelsea a few times in the 80s, same rules applied there.

There was a great video of someone watching Hoolahan's penalty 2007 at Deepdale from within the Preston fans.
'Save it lad, save it' and then the guy laughing quietly to himself - can anyone post a link to this, it's very funny

There are a few of us on here old enough to remember non segregation of the fans.
1958 at BR 36k v Man Untd with both sets of fans intermingled and no crowd trouble which would have been difficult anyway as we were packed in like sardines!
No televised football then though and people were just happy to support their own team and get the chance to watch all the great players for both sides.

Went in . . . the home end at Cold Blow Lane . . .

Yes, I watched 3 or 4 games from behind the goal in the home end at The Den when I was in London late '60s/early '70s.
Wasn't the best place to be but I reasoned that as long as I didn't wear colours & kept my mouth shut I was safer there than with the away fans.
I'm still around to tell the tale so I must have got that right, if nothing else.

in the 1950s - along with the Mods and the Rockers and Elvis - came a second wave of hooliganism. In the 1955-56 season, Liverpool and Everton fans were involved in several train-wrecking incidents and by the 1960s an average of 25 hooligan incidents a year were being reported - and hooliganism as we know it had been born.

Rose tinted specs!!!

Went in the Lever end at Bolton and the home end at Cold Blow Lane, got moved by the police both times, quite glad to be honest.

The home end at Cold Blow Lane! That is high risk ...... why did you chance that?

I've been there in the 70s and it was bad enough in the away end when there are only 10 of you standing out like northerners 😱

Not rose tinted specs at all.
I'm well aware that hooliganism was around in the 50's with the teddy boys etc and also agree that it came into football in the 60's.
I was just referring to the football experience in general in the 1950's.
Mods and Rockers were a 1960s phenomenon entirely.

Think there’s a bit of a diff between the West Ham game 60-70k fans and cod game today 3-4K, half of which are prob pensioners...πŸ™ƒ
No difference at all. The majority of the 60/70 thousand at Wembley were well behaved and not interested in trouble but as is the case with a lot of clubs there are always idiots who just look for trouble and not interested at all in the game.

It is quite easy for a group of 5, 6 or even more, to pick on a lone supporter from the opposition because they are big and brave in a group.

We have idiots amongst our factions and the locality of the match will no doubt increase the chances of trouble.

There’s been a steady flow most of the morning past my house of Police/Ambulance heading towards Fleetwood the junior Muckers must be there already. πŸ˜‚

It was the 70s. Running late, nearest turnstile, all cash, kept our mouths shut before speaking quietly to the nearest copper who walked us down the side of the pitch to the away end.

Someone set off an orange smoke bomb in the Strawberry Gardens pub yesterday, shame cos the fans were having a right good sing song and drank the place dry of most draft beers!

Sadly amongst the great majority in football crowds who love the game and just attend matches to support their team and hope to see a good game there is often a small minority of knuckle dragging halfwit males who are just looking for a fight.Football being the most popular sport attracts them like no other sport. It gives football a bad name, is sickening to most sadly reflects the ever present low life in humankind.

Was in the Plumbers stand that day, funny as listening to 'em all moaning, then went in the black bull for a celebratory pint after waiting for Mrs Wizzerboy to pick me upπŸ‘
Cracking day
