Totally agree. I always had more of a laugh with my German team than I did any other European teams. Great sense of humour, beautiful places to visit and see and as a bonus the seem to have a high percentage of pretty women thereWent to Germany for the first time last year. Rothenburg also suffered severe damage from bombing raids towards the end of the war and was reconstructed afterwards, paid for in part by public donations received from all over the world. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.Did cologne and dusselsdorf last year. Loved the place, it's a pity the cities were smashed to bits and lost a lot of history. My grandad was partly responsible
When I went to Hamburg, we did some cultural sightseeing as well as the more well known stuff. St Michael's church rebuilt after the war. The spire was a long walk up. Everywhere we went the signs read 'destroyed by the British'. After a while you just want to say "Well you started it", but we refrained.Rothenburg also suffered severe damage from bombing raids towards the end of the war and was reconstructed afterwards, paid for in part by public donations received from all over the world. I just knew there was something in life you liked.Black Forest, Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart & Freiburg...enjoyed them all. Hols, beer festivals, football and a stag do.
Haha. Oh yes, the usual, beer, football, women, most sports, holidays home and abroad, music (played drums for 57 years), walks and reading.I just knew there was something in life you liked.
I’d book your table now for the Oktoberfest TP if still available it gets absolutely rammed!Always wanted to visit Berlin for a weekend getaway, taking in the history and having a general city break. Amazing for it so I've been told.
HOPEFULLY will be going Oktoberfest at the end of September this year for a stag do, not quite a culturally enriching experience but should be a good'un. That will all depend on the covid situation of course.
Some of us have moved on from things that happened 80+ years ago.Wasn t it awful the RAF bombing all those German cities!
Easy, skiver... Next you'll be telling us the Empire is no more! Some of us have moved on from things that happened 80+ years ago.

I got an invitation to the second half of the last century and beyond due to the efforts of my forebears , their comrades and the brave non shirking non fifth columnist members of their generation so I can enjoy freedom. Remember that and make sure you bend the knee in deference to them dailyOoh, It’s a Zulu, the only person on here who didn’t get an invite to the 21st century

Wiz, my one abiding memory of Hamburg is when I was there in 1954.When I went to Hamburg, we did some cultural sightseeing as well as the more well known stuff. St Michael's church rebuilt after the war. The spire was a long walk up. Everywhere we went the signs read 'destroyed by the British'. After a while you just want to say "Well you started it", but we refrained.
