You can’t really blame him !!Doesn't sound like Simon is happy with the whinging from a small section of fans, despite his willingness to put his hand in his pocket through these difficult times.
I don’t blame him, as BM said the terms were there for all to read before purchasing. It was clearly stated that no refunds would be given. I hope the people who keep banging on about refunds will now accept there will not be any, stop complaining and just be grateful that Simon is still investing and is prepared to invest further. All he wants in return is our support and a little bit of appreciation for his continuing investment and patience. Because maybe what people say does have an impact ? Maybe being compared to Oystons when you’re trying to do your best for the club and community with your own money is a bit of a disincentive !!Petulant answer from Garrity I thought....sadler shouldn't be immune to comment and, where appropriate, critism. Comes across a bit Oyston like that answer to me, exactly like something Owen would come out with.. Why comment on the critics at all?
Didn’t take long for someone to come along and prove his point ...Petulant answer from Garrity I thought....sadler shouldn't be immune to comment and, where appropriate, critism. If you leave a door slightly ajar or a few crumbs on the floor vermin always try and take advantage. And with some vermin you can’t just stomp them dead, you’ve got to get permission to get rid of them humanely :/So is there an oyston still in the Penthouse then ?!

I don't, you only have to look at the pitch thread to think of him head in hands thinking why have i bothered !You can’t really blame him !!
Questions were asked for in advance but there was an opportunity at the end to ask anything that hadn't been covered. Some weird questions from L&C and BSA. Was there Q&A or was it pre-set questions? Looks a bit of a stilted format.
are you jealous they don’t invite anyone from that discord rubbish? We can surely trim those supporter groups down a bit. No need for so many.
MSG are still waiting for Stone Island to open back up.
BSA is two idiots in a shed somewhere by now, completely irrelevant.
Isn't Tangerine Seasiders some Facebook page with like 7 members?
What's the four companies thing that BST asked about? Is that a concern? I saw two set up early on pending the change of ownership but hadn't tracked it since.
Nope. Good one that, though.are you jealous they don’t invite anyone from that discord rubbish?
Cheers BRR. Think it's always a good thing to keep watch on things like that. Support the club and owner but not at the cost of becoming too hear-no-evil-see-no-evil.Not a concern. We've grown used to monitoring these things is a different era - for very different reasons.
This was more to elicit from the club that the owner was having to put considerable sums into the club at the moment just to keep it functioning. As it happens, that point had already come out by the time this question was reached.
The club was reluctant to say much about the financial and legal advice SS had received on the topic, which wasn't a surprise. No harm in asking though.
Who the fuck said/wrote that?although I despair of some of the constant whinging on here, this is awful
‘Simon does get a little fed up of hearing some people repeatedly asking about season ticket refunds when he is personally investing and keeping the Club alive financially to the tune that I have already alluded to. While there is the desire to build the training ground and better the infrastructure of the Club, his enthusiasm may be diminished when a small number of supporters demand refunds upon tickets that were advertised and sold with everyone aware that the season may not happen. The Club was honest and open when selling the tickets and has provided iFollow coverage to all supporters who are entitled to it. I should emphasise that this is a minority of people who are moaning but a vocal minority and they are in danger of jeopardising the good work that is going on.
Simon is not going to do all that is needed on his own, he needs the supporters alongside him, he has to feel that the financial burden is being shared and if he starts to doubt that he is less incentivised to invest further. The majority of fans are doing an amazing job with the ticket sales, iFollow, the buying of merchandise and generally supporting the Club however they can. They have been brilliant whilst themselves going through difficult economic times. The board are very grateful. We know what fantastic supporters the Club has and we value you greatly.
When Simon says he’s going to do something, he will do it but please be patient. A message to some supporters is, don’t kill the golden goose, there is not another Simon Sadler out there waiting to take over.’
Brett Gerrity. Had a similar attitude in the last one of these things.Who the fuck said/wrote that?

Has someone actually threatened them with legal action or similar for buying a season ticket that hasn't been able to be used?
Not everybody has millions of pounds to waste on a football club, and not everyone expects anyone else to either (with or without covid a factor). You either do so because you want to, or because you have a wider business reason, or both, for me.
If covid and no crowds drags on maybe it would be better to just offer the chance to make a regular donation like a patreon or a direct debit thing so they can see everyone is actively doing their bit and not just on the take, if that's how we're all perceived?
Absolutely. I didn't buy a season ticket as I didn't want one but also haven't demanded anything of anyone. The only thing I want to see is that they don't piss money up a wall and use what they do have wisely. And as we've seen with the squad and management catch up after the false start, it seemed to dawn on them early on that just talking about a Blackpool Way and getting fans giddy because it's not Oyston any more doesn't mean that you start winning all the games. They've had to back-fill positions, get Mansford away from thinking he's director of football etc, just to get us stabilised and to midtable in this oddest of seasons.Agree with this and @Recidivist3 - Something I never thought I'd say. .
People whining after they knew the risks of buying a season ticket is probably slightly annoying to the club, and the clueless question BSA asked won't have helped.
But the response, for me, wasn't the best. As Pool says, SS equally knew the money pit he was getting into, so I don't buy that as an argument back at the fans, and then threatening pulling finances in the future if fans don't get on board with their vision was slightly disturbing.
The owner and board have probably the largest capital of good feeling and good will an owner and a board will ever have in the industry currently. There really is no need for statements like that to the fans after our recent history.
SS and BM we're with you through thick and thin after your commitments to us, but we're allowed to ask questions of the club, because we as a fan base have a duty to never let an 'Oystonesque situation' develop again.
But it is overall fantastic to see the work and effort that is going into the club from all angles. I've never been more confident we will succeed.
Your street cred’s ruined, Rekt, tho’ I shall treasure you as a posting friend for as long as it lastsAgree with this and @Recidivist3 - Something I never thought I'd say. .
That's no way to talk to you customer base how much is Gerrity putting in sweet FA just picking up his fat pay packet.Brett Gerrity. Had a similar attitude in the last one of these things.

That's were them mushrooms should be sent too 2001 back to the stains era.I've had a quick read on Facebook - I like the comments from Leyland & Chorley about posting things to fans and getting DVDs - I thought for a second the minutes were from 2001 not 2021!
What an absolute load of rubbish. Brett’s been going for years (unlike a lot on here). Oh and he’s also paid nothing by the club, he puts his time and effort in for free....... just like when he was trying his best to get his friend Simon to buy the club. Where do you clowns think we would be without himSomebody told me that Brett Gerrity is a Liverpool fan despite claiming to support Blackpool.
