Which was the most iconic music video that always still sticks in your mind and brings goose bumps out😁
For me it is always even now when I hear it ,wait for it wait for it don't panic Mr manwering
Is the Floyd another brick in the wall (sad I know but he he ho )😜.

Song or video?

I'm no real fan of his music, but the full video version of Thriller was pretty impressive when it was first shown. Think it was about 15 mins in total?

The accompanying video to The Clairvoyant, shot at Donington in 88 always hits a chord, because I was there, although that day was very sad as two fans died earlier in the day during GnR.

Actually Floyd's a good shout. Here's another one lovely piece called High Hopes from the Division Bell, about growing up round Cambridge way and.a moving close of a huge bust of Sid Barrett being carried as the stars come out.

Yep, like the Sinead O'Connor choice.

The first one that came into my mind even though I go back way before it came out was Alone by Heart. The reason it made an impression was it came out at a time when the Station pub in town had that absolute giant screen of what seemed about fifty teles put together and Ann Wilson belting out the song staring right into my eyes and mind and she looked stunning.

Appreciate that it's outside the scope here but had videos been a thing in the early 60s there's some excellent camera work in A Hard Day's Night where the Beatles do And I Love Her. Very atmospheric with the camera moving around McCartney until he's silhouetted by the spotlight, only to come back into view as the camera keeps moving.

New Order, World in Motion. That semi final defeat still hurts, strangely far more than the most recent one.
Good shout Alfie - for my own choice I’d go “Sledgehammer” by Peter Gabriel which was pretty groundbreaking but close behind the much copied and admired “Cry” by Godley & Creme of 10CC Fame.

Edit to say - well blow me down Sir, great minds and all that Mr ModCons 👍

I remember being scared of the keyboard player from Sparks when they appeared on Top Of The Pops in 1974. I didn't like the Queen video either which I think was out around the same time. I would have been about 5 🤣

The Thriller video was on at midnight on Channel 4 and was a major event at the time.

Bunters marketed it and sold tickets for a midnight showing. Pete Schofield was the DJ, there was a big screen and at midnight the club came to a halt. We’d never seen anything like it before, it captivated everyone. Pre internet age hence the anticipation and hype.

The light pours out of me, when it was shown on OGWT.
I went from a die-hard Slade fan to everything punk/new wave.

Skip to 5:50 unless you want to also bless your ears with Motorcade 🎸🎸

Loved lots of 70's music but my first iconic video that I remember well was as a young boy when I fell in love with Sandy, Sumer lovin

Go on then I'll front it. Duran Duran Rio - When I'm old enough I thought, I'm getting out of Blackpool and having some of that. Boats and Bikini clad women.

I made it to Fleetwood on the trawlers
