Publishing the conversations seems pretty firm evidence on what Boris actually said to me. I agree with you about the Official Secrets Act, but there's also a demand for him to back up his allegations. Seems to me he has. It's suggested that nothing can be worse than a woman who has been rejected in love, thus the phrase, 'Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned. Well, Cummings is now acting like a big girl's blouse, having been rejected from his love in with Boris, and appears to be trying to seek revenge for his dismissal. However, how he is getting away with such statements, if true, which I would have thought would be covered under the Official Secrets Act is mind-blowing, and I personally feel it will not be too long before he is hoist with his own petard. Watch this space.
This Government adopts the Orwellian principle of, "say it long enough and loud enough and it will become the truth."I don't like the guy but on this he is right.
The government is trying to rewrite history and believes that the public has a very short attention span. Cummings reminding them of what actually happened.
There was a shortage of PPE last year (this is a fact) and people will have died because of it. Hancock now denying that there ever was a shortage - at the very least it is disrespectful to those NHS and care home staff who put their lives on the line.
And of course there is the ' we threw a protective ring around care homes'.
There’s a huge difference between secrets that shouldn’t be revealed because they affect national security and secrets that the government of the day would prefer not to be revealed because they are just plain embarrassing.Publishing the conversations seems pretty firm evidence on what Boris actually said to me. That came after this……This Government adopts the Orwellian principle of, "say it long enough and loud enough and it will become the truth."
Hancock is a serial liar and a very poor Minister of State.I don't like the guy but on this he is right.

Easy to say Michelle but not true. There are some (on both sides) who have integrity.Never trust a politician. They all piss in the same pot. Simples
He wants to portray himself as the hero of the hour when in reality it seems that he has just got in the way of a lot of competent people who actually knew what to do.Hancock is a serial liar and a very poor Minister of State.
Unfortunately, Stalin's victims were the work of a sociopathic maniac. Hancock's victims were the result of his hubris and incompetence.Dominic Cummings claims: Rees-Mogg defends Hancock as 'successful genius'
But Labour's leader says the health secretary is "hopeless" - and the prime minister is just as bad.www.bbc.co.uk
Hancock will be loving this - they are Stalinesque in the way that history gets rewritten.
Evidence of what?Publishing the conversations seems pretty firm evidence on what Boris actually said to me. I agree with you about the Official Secrets Act, but there's also a demand for him to back up his allegations. Seems to me he has.
Evidence of what?
Or maybe it’s as simple as the fact Hancock was fcuking useless?I'm trying to work out what Cummings motivation is in all of this, was he trying to set up Hancock as the fall guy or did he think (as I suspect) that he should've been in charge of the whole Covid response and if only that had happened the virus would've somehow run away back to China and none of this would've happened.
Either way it looks to me like Cummings was working to undermine Hancock from the very earliest days of the pandemic as well as try to sabotage the governments response through press leaks.
What's no doubt missing from those WhatsApp screen shots is days of Cummings telling the PM, "Hancock's done this, Hancock's done that, Hancock's useless etc".
In retrospect Cummings' tenure at No. 10 was a disaster.
The blindingly obvious is usually the right answerOr maybe it’s as simple as the fact Hancock was fcuking useless?
Correction Mex 'is'. I find it difficult to believe anything that Hancock says as he comes across fcuking useless and his body language stinks of lies.Or maybe it’s as simple as the fact Hancock was fcuking useless?
Hancock is a Party man. Keen to dish the dirt to his party's advantage but incapable of holding a straight line in office. He should never have been over-promoted.The blindingly obvious is usually the right answer
It was Hitler actually, in Mien Kampf, the 'Big Lie'. The Tory's aren't very good at it, they lack the charisma to sell it, Trump was much better and it was the backbone of his entire political career of four years. That came after this……
“Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”
Joseph Goebbels.
Strange how most historical sites disagree with you about Hitler and this - I am going to look into this moreIt was Hitler actually, in Mien Kampf, the 'Big Lie'. True though, all Hitler's idea, Goebbels nicked it from his leader, just google 'The Big Lie'.Strange how most historical sites disagree with you about Hitler and this - I am going to look into this more

His intentions aren't the issue though.I'd be struggling to believe that Cummings revelations have been made as some form of public duty as he feels that the country has the right to know.
I'd suggest that his revelations are for the betterment of Dominic Cummings, or maybe I should say for his perceived betterment of Dominic Cummings.
His intentions aren't the issue though.
Not sure that’s correct - the big lie was different and was quoted in Mein Kampf by Hitler as the lie the Jews gave BUT Goebbels brought in that if you repeat it enough it will be believed.True though, all Hitler's idea, Goebbels nicked it from his leader, just google 'The Big Lie'.
I gone did a Google, a scholarly cited source in fact. Not sure that’s correct - the big lie was different and was quoted in Mein Kampf by Hitler as the lie the Jews gave BUT Goebbels brought in that if you repeat it enough it will be believed.
I am curious about this
A man that was hated but now seemingly feted by the left. I, personally, never liked the smarmy git.
Interesting - I will read and comment in next day or so when it’s not 1.30am here, and when I have not had a few wines and also desperate for England to WinI gone did a Google, a scholarly cited source in fact.

They were wrong, lecturers make mistakes all the time, mine did anyway. They're not assumptions, it's a fact, Goebbels would never admit to lying in public.Interesting - I will read and comment in next day or so when it’s not 1.30am here, and when I have not had a few wines and also desperate for England to Win
…but your assumptions do not match what I was taught in my History degree.
Whereas you never give an opinion on anything, just snipe at others. You lads love trying to prove your “politics“ to be right on a msg Board with a tiny audience and you never ever change anyone’s mind
They don't affect the words on the screen, and they're damning.I don't know what the issue is and I couldn't care less to be honest but a persons intentions do effect matters.
They don't affect the words on the screen, and they're damning.
When you're as brazen as this PM and his cohort, you're right that nothing will change. Government based on self interest and lies.To be perfectly honest with you WIz, I really couldn't give a chite what they do and I'm happy to for you to think that they are damning.
I'm not sure it will change anything but again happy for anybody to think otherwise.
You lads love trying to prove your “politics“ to be right on a msg Board with a tiny audience and you never ever change anyone’s mind
The problem you have is the only alternative was completely unviable IMO and many millions of others. When you're as brazen as this PM and his cohort, you're right that nothing will change. Government based on self interest and lies.
I didn't vote for them so my conscience is clear. Those that did and continue to defend them get what they deserve. In the end, it will end in tears.
