Dominic Cummings

Dominic Cummings body has been found chopped into tiny pieces, in a small zipped up holdall, police suspect suicide... 😊

The Government committees are just like AVFTT. A sort of revolving door on the same subjects at different times of the year, with the exception of the occasional runchase for good measure 😃

It's suggested that nothing can be worse than a woman who has been rejected in love, thus the phrase, 'Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned. Well, Cummings is now acting like a big girl's blouse, having been rejected from his love in with Boris, and appears to be trying to seek revenge for his dismissal. However, how he is getting away with such statements, if true, which I would have thought would be covered under the Official Secrets Act is mind-blowing, and I personally feel it will not be too long before he is hoist with his own petard. Watch this space.

Publishing the conversations seems pretty firm evidence on what Boris actually said to me. I agree with you about the Official Secrets Act, but there's also a demand for him to back up his allegations. Seems to me he has.

I don't like the guy but on this he is right.
The government is trying to rewrite history and believes that the public has a very short attention span. Cummings reminding them of what actually happened.
There was a shortage of PPE last year (this is a fact) and people will have died because of it. Hancock now denying that there ever was a shortage - at the very least it is disrespectful to those NHS and care home staff who put their lives on the line.
And of course there is the ' we threw a protective ring around care homes'.

This Government adopts the Orwellian principle of, "say it long enough and loud enough and it will become the truth."

There’s a huge difference between secrets that shouldn’t be revealed because they affect national security and secrets that the government of the day would prefer not to be revealed because they are just plain embarrassing.

The public has a right to know and the Official Secrets Act has no relevance so far as these disclosures are concerned.

The thought of having Cummings as my friend and having to watch every word I write or say! I cringe when I think of some of the things I said in the past hoping that today my friends accept me as I am.

Interesting (or not) that The Guardian was the only paper to publish the totally Fcuking useless without any ******* or similar.

Hancock is a serial liar and a very poor Minister of State.

Hancock is a serial liar and a very poor Minister of State.
He wants to portray himself as the hero of the hour when in reality it seems that he has just got in the way of a lot of competent people who actually knew what to do.
Having two children who work in the NHS, I hate it when he talks about 'my staff', 'my colleagues'. The NHS front-liners are the heroes here, not some mendacious, mediocre, ideologically driven ego maniac with a shiny face.

Evidence of what?

That people have criticise colleagues for n private conversations with other colleagues?

Surely that is just normal and generally meaningless behaviour in a working environment. The abnormal thing here is that Cummings is such a snake in the grass that he has opted to use information and the threat of publication to try and force his way (whilst in the role) and embarrass his former colleagues now they’ve correctly fucked him off.

Other than this meaningless tittle tattle he’s failed to provide any real evidence at all to back up his allegations.

I'm trying to work out what Cummings motivation is in all of this, was he trying to set up Hancock as the fall guy or did he think (as I suspect) that he should've been in charge of the whole Covid response and if only that had happened the virus would've somehow run away back to China and none of this would've happened.

Either way it looks to me like Cummings was working to undermine Hancock from the very earliest days of the pandemic as well as try to sabotage the governments response through press leaks.

What's no doubt missing from those WhatsApp screen shots is days of Cummings telling the PM, "Hancock's done this, Hancock's done that, Hancock's useless etc".

In retrospect Cummings' tenure at No. 10 was a disaster.

But he isn`t particularly being "feted by the left", is he?

He has aired his views through social media and the select committee, and his comments are being discussed and critiqued by the media and politicians generally. Whether anyone likes him, or his true motives, are relatively unimportant.

The only issue here is whether his claims are true and should be acted on.

And it should be of equal concern to everyone, regardless of their political leanings...

Or maybe it’s as simple as the fact Hancock was fcuking useless?

The blindingly obvious is usually the right answer 👍
Hancock is a Party man. Keen to dish the dirt to his party's advantage but incapable of holding a straight line in office. He should never have been over-promoted.
Cummings is a very intelligent man but stupid. He was naive at best in his trip to Barnard Castle. He is now out for revenge after bring sacked. He has loads of useful ammunition and he's using it.
What a bloody awful tribe the Tories are under Johnson. There's a talented (but nasty) selection of senior Tory MPs in Parliament. At the moment the Government contains none of them. At present the Conservative leadership is populated with self-seeking, back-stabbing liars, fraudsters and completely unfit con-artists.

That came after this……

“Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”

Joseph Goebbels.
It was Hitler actually, in Mien Kampf, the 'Big Lie'. The Tory's aren't very good at it, they lack the charisma to sell it, Trump was much better and it was the backbone of his entire political career of four years.

Strange how most historical sites disagree with you about Hitler and this - I am going to look into this more 👍

I'd be struggling to believe that Cummings revelations have been made as some form of public duty as he feels that the country has the right to know.

I'd suggest that his revelations are for the betterment of Dominic Cummings, or maybe I should say for his perceived betterment of Dominic Cummings.

His intentions aren't the issue though.

True though, all Hitler's idea, Goebbels nicked it from his leader, just google 'The Big Lie'.
Not sure that’s correct - the big lie was different and was quoted in Mein Kampf by Hitler as the lie the Jews gave BUT Goebbels brought in that if you repeat it enough it will be believed.

I am curious about this 👍

Let's be honest about things though, anything that happens in the real world is multiplied by the AVFTT lefties.

Can only be a month since Keir Starmer's magnificent performance in the house was going to force Boris to resign.

I gone did a Google, a scholarly cited source in fact.

Interesting - I will read and comment in next day or so when it’s not 1.30am here, and when I have not had a few wines and also desperate for England to Win 👍

…but your assumptions do not match what I was taught in my History degree.

They were wrong, lecturers make mistakes all the time, mine did anyway. They're not assumptions, it's a fact, Goebbels would never admit to lying in public.

You lads love trying to prove your “politics“ to be right on a msg Board with a tiny audience and you never ever change anyone’s mind 😂

They don't affect the words on the screen, and they're damning.

To be perfectly honest with you WIz, I really couldn't give a chite what they do and I'm happy to for you to think that they are damning.

I'm not sure it will change anything but again happy for anybody to think otherwise.

When you're as brazen as this PM and his cohort, you're right that nothing will change. Government based on self interest and lies.

I didn't vote for them so my conscience is clear. Those that did and continue to defend them get what they deserve. In the end, it will end in tears.

It`s a forum. Therefore it only exists if you give opinions. So, like others, I occasionally give my opinion, for what it`s worth. It`s a bit of fun.

It has never been about changing anybody`s mind. Some posters views may interest or appal me, but they do not concern me to the extent that I would want to try and change them. Why would I care what someone else on here believes?

Occasionally I learn something. Sometimes a post amuses me. Often they bore me. Probably the same for everyone. But it`s ok overall.

Of course I realise other posters may have other reasons and needs for posting. I generally avoid them...

Apologies if that reply seemed a bit short Wiz, no problem with your good self but just politicsed - is that a word out ? - out.

The problem you have is the only alternative was completely unviable IMO and many millions of others.
