Job ad now taken off... Wonder why
Hi David. This thread is a perfect example of how 'entitled' everyone is these days. Get over yourselves FFS.
ExactlyThe wording is awful
Not sure why it couldn’t just say it’s a full time role
If you agree with the wording I doubt anyone enjoys working for you muchI would imagine the majority who are complaining about this advert have never been an employer themselves.
Yeah.... not betterAfter taking on the feedback from around the nation and beyond, Dog Food has relisted the advert which now comes with a handy glossary for terms such as "office-dweller", "delegator" and "work-life balance".
General Manager (Football) (Mill Farm Sports Village, Preston, UK)
We are seeking a General Manager to work directly alongside the Director of Football. These roles currently report directly into the Chairman and will do for the foreseeable future. While focused on the general day to day running of the non-footballing side of the club, the main emphasis will be ojobsinfootball.com
It’s just about to be on BBC LOCAL NEWS...Look Northwest or whatever it’s called nowadays....they trailed it at the start of the show
Oh I can assure you it was just the opposite. Made many lifelong friendships with 90% of former employees long stayers. We simply told them what was expected, what they'd get in return and it worked superbly apart from the minority who were not up to the job, unreliable or did what they wanted while I paid them for not doing what we agreed. The 90% always got what was agreed plus a lot more during certain periods of the year. The other 10% moved on, some quicker than others. If you agree with the wording I doubt anyone enjoys working for you much
Alright calm down Alan ** Sugar...Oh I can assure you it was just the opposite. Made many lifelong friendships with 90% of former employees long stayers. We simply told them what was expected, what they'd get in return and it worked superbly apart from the minority who were not up to the job, unreliable or did what they wanted while I paid them for not doing what we agreed. I feel sorry for employees who are taken advantage of but it has to work both ways.
You must be a civil servant or work for Tesco or some other big company where you can hide. Whats the problem in telling any prospective candidate the "real deal". Thats hw winners are born. No wonder Blackpool is on its arse!!! No fighters no winners, just gripers and sinners.Who wrote that job advert? Awful.
What a load of macho bollocksYou must be a civil servant or work for Tesco or some other big company where you can hide. Whats the problem in telling any prospective candidate the "real deal". Thats hw winners are born. No wonder Blackpool is on its arse!!! No fighters no winners, just gripers and sinners.
We won four in a bed this afternoonYou must be a civil servant or work for Tesco or some other big company where you can hide. Whats the problem in telling any prospective candidate the "real deal". Thats hw winners are born. No wonder Blackpool is on its arse!!! No fighters no winners, just gripers and sinners.
Winners aren't born. They train, they learn, they get experience. And as with everything in life, sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. It is the journey that matters the most. You must be a civil servant or work for Tesco or some other big company where you can hide. Whats the problem in telling any prospective candidate the "real deal". Thats hw winners are born. No wonder Blackpool is on its arse!!! No fighters no winners, just gripers and sinners.
No, I work for a massive power company in a pressurised management role who take no prisoners. But don't write absolute wank job specifications. You must be a civil servant or work for Tesco or some other big company where you can hide. Whats the problem in telling any prospective candidate the "real deal". Thats hw winners are born. No wonder Blackpool is on its arse!!! No fighters no winners, just gripers and sinners.
"Sinners"You must be a civil servant or work for Tesco or some other big company where you can hide. Whats the problem in telling any prospective candidate the "real deal". Thats hw winners are born. No wonder Blackpool is on its arse!!! No fighters no winners, just gripers and sinners.
I'm guessing it's this place..."Sinners"
Have heard that there is quite a bit of misogyny around those parts. Haythornthwaite is proper old boys club. I hear they've already made themselves unpopular is the Conference North with their 'big club' attitude.
Can you recommend a good-value dry food for a springer spaniel? What a bunch of soft arsed namby pambies cry babies Brits have turned into. Better to tell everyone what the job is going to be like than firing their arse after a week!
Again, it doesn't tell you anything at all. What a bunch of soft arsed namby pambies cry babies Brits have turned into. Better to tell everyone what the job is going to be like than firing their arse after a week!
Anyone worth actually employing will avoid this like the plague. This would get laughed out of every single HR meeting in the land, you can only hope the contract is a little bit more professional otherwise if you hire someone and piss them off then any tribunal is going to rip your balls off for this kind of outdated rubbish.
Yep... I know a female who worked there. Not a happy experienceHave heard that there is quite a bit of misogyny around those parts. Haythornthwaite is proper old boys club. I hear they've already made themselves unpopular is the Conference North with their 'big club' attitude.
There’s always oneIm really struggling to see where the problem is here. The "business" and thats what it is, first and foremost, is rooting out the slackers and the cruisers in life. I wish them all the best and defend their advertisement wholeheartedly. Good luck to them!
Totally counter productive. That job advert might attract and reveal someone who will put up with shit and work under certain conditions but it won't give them the best person for the job.
