Was it the year we got beat by Mansfield in the 4th round of the FA cup? I remember the duck reappearing around this time.

That was 1970, after we beat Arsenal 3-2 in the 3rd round replay. Was it the year we got beat by Mansfield in the 4th round of the FA cup? I remember the duck reappearing around this time.
I took a similar photo from nearly the same spot! I've got it framed on my study wall.
Budgie saying " Which one of you lot has dropped one?"
We were very adjacent to that as well.I took a similar photo from nearly the same spot! I've got it framed on my study wall.
We only won one game on the road in 1989-90 and Tony Diamond was on fire...here he is - on the right - with Ricardo Gabbiadini when we won 3-0 at Mansfield

I wouldn’t mind, PC, but he and RG were fantastic together in that game and we tore them to pieces. TD scored at least once, and the picture I meant to attach was of the keeper making a save at his feet that led to the corner. I wonder what led to him going on strike…
As an aside, can anybody name the Blackpool player stood on the left watching Colin Methven score at NTFC? See POST 1424, above.
Rooney - correct, well-played. Sadly, no other images from the Boro game that I could see but I shall keep looking. The game at their place when we won 3-1 was also lively as I recall....Is it Alan Wright, or Simon Rooney ? PS. Have you got anymore pics of the Middlesboro game, a lively day in Q Block that one.

Bloomfield Road, Circa 1950s
Interesting pic in three ways.
That was the gantry that Bob Stokoe used to sit in during the second half of our matches when he was Manager.Interesting pic in three ways.
Firstly, notice the TV gantry on top of the West Stand.
Secondly, no badge on the shirt. Yet there was in the 50's and 60s.
Thirdly, Budgie being Budgie.
I remember walking under those stands. The toilets reeked.
Vintage Bloomfield road. Again before my time but this looks like a proper ground.View attachment 370
That young man will go on to be a World Cup winner!
It's Bloomfield Rd. It was council green until the late 70s at least.View attachment 8093
This is a bit of a conundrum.
It states 1973/74 and as Mickey Burns left in the summer of '74 and this is the 73/74 kit it could be right...but (I am sad):
Steve Harrison only played against the following that season:
Swindon (H) - Ainscow was out injured
Oxford (A) - Walsh played (not in 12 man photo)
Orient (H) - Walsh played
WBA (A) - McEwan was unused sub (not in 12 man photo)
Oxford (H) - Walsh was unused sub
M'boro (A) - McEwan was unused sub
Cardiff (H) - Hart played (not in 12 man photo)
Preston (H) - Evanson played (not in 12 man photo)
Pompey (A)- Evanson played
Hull (A)- Evanson played
Swindon (A)- Evanson played
Villa (A) - Evanson was unused sub
Villa (H)- Evanson played
Carlisle (H)- Evanson played
Sunderland (A)- Evanson played
Southampton (FAC) (A) - Rafferty was unused sub (not in 12 man photo)
So what game was this?
Does anyone recognise the ground?
Cannot see any spectators in the stand.View attachment 8093

Don't sense any great love for Emlyn
Wasn't here very long. Played most of his career elsewhere, hence your appearance on the thread.Don't sense any great love for Emlyn
Was magnificent in his short spell at Pool though and at £65k was an absolute bargain.Wasn't here very long. Played most of his career elsewhere, hence your appearance on the thread.
