Always felt it would be great to have an anthem belting out just before kick-off. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but pretty impressive.
That is one of the best crowds singing I have ever seen, know a couple of people there, and they said the hair stood up on the backs of their necks when it was going.Always felt it would be great to have an anthem belting out just before kick-off. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but pretty impressive.
Interesting. I'd suggest Everlasting Love is better and more appropriate. Have a good look at the words. Even the title fits.I'm with you 20's
My fav when we had a thread on this last year was ' Bringing On Back The Good Times ' by Love Affair
What the Hibs song shows is it's not really the song itself that's important but the way the fans associate with it and most importantly all can sing the song from start to finish
I know what you’re saying re old fashioned, but when West Brom brought thousands a good few years ago and banged out their version, it sounded pretty impressive.First time I've seen that Hibs one. Incredible.
Fraid I'm not in favour of "I do like...…" Sure, it's associated with Blackpool but it doesn't have the raw emotion of what a football club should mean to you for me.
Apart from that, it's so old fashioned, it belongs in an era going back sixty or seventy years.
We do yes. Something we can sing loud and proud.
If it Could be intimidating to opponents even better. Can’t involve clapping either.
Why?That's everything ruled out then
Yes, that wasn’t missed on me either. It's one way to try and enforce the ground regs I suppose
They did this live at the RL Grand Final and it was amazing. The key for any track chosen, it has to go down well with the Muckers in the North, otherwise it’s pointless.Timps
Yep, it's a good song but listening to those words make me even think it's less of a football anthem song than I first thought.
Although it's message is supposed to be uplifting it goes to too many dark places in my view.
I also listened to Laid, but I think we’d defo get a points deduction if we encouraged that in the groundIt's one way to try and enforce the ground regs I suppose
True, and I can't come up with anything better. They did this live at the RL Grand Final and it was amazing. The key for any track chosen, it has to go down well with the Muckers in the North, otherwise it’s pointless.
It is a major modern anthem, in an indie club or at a festival.
All about opinions.
Why?
And a Hoover juniorIl even dress as Freddy Mercury at the front of the north .. moustache , hair slicked back and a pole mic
Yeah that’s true, hence why it can’t involve clapping because that’s all the west and south will do.Our fans cant sing/chant unless they happy clap

Each time I listen to this I'm amazed at the volume of noise, even though the fans fill only their half of the stadium. Unlike LFC's You'll Never Walk Alone, the song isn't lead by a loud PA system. Yes we need an anthem but selecting one won't be easy and we don't want to steal it like we did that annoying Oyscum era song Glad All Over (from Crystal Palace).Always felt it would be great to have an anthem belting out just before kick-off. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but pretty impressive.
Good effort that, I like it. As you say, needs some tweaks to the lyrics, eg wembley, maybe remove glad all over as we don't use it anymore. But this is definitely the kind of thing we need to use.
