He left Carlisle a month ago. Keith Millen is in there, Holloways assistant.WHAT WHEN HE,IS SACKED BY CARLISLE?
Shame you talk about Fleetwood more than you do about your supposed team.Get Jaffa in
Best M/P pie i've ever had was at Wrens. All he needs now is to manage AFC Fylde, and then down the league ladder from there. Coming soon to you at Wren Rovers..
I just don't get Pilley's logic after the shit show with us.A very unambitious appointment by Pilley in the first place.
There were quite a few on here that rated him above Critch.Wouldn't be surprised to see him back in management soon enough, personally think he's a bit of a dinosaur in management terms now though.
Excellent win for the Knobbers last night, should keep McAvoy in the job for a bit longer
Out of our group of 8, only 8 of us were gutted when he was appointedThere were quite a few on here that rated him above Critch.
I keep thinking about this and I genuinely wonder whether he ever had it in the first place. Whenever I've listened to him in interview he sounds thick and I don't just mean his dull persona and Yorky accent, he just seems to repeat the typical football cliches and never really express any particular insight into his team or performances, that give you the impression that he actually has half a clue what he is doing.... The contrast to Critchley (for example) is night and day.I think Sunderland did for him, seemed to completely floor him and his grumpy thousand yard stare persona in Sunderland Till I Die isn't the same lad who was here the first time.
I always had a suspicion that TP was behind his success here, but then he got three more teams promoted, suggesting it's down to the assistant managers is just the 'Calderwood Gambit' from last season.I keep thinking about this and I genuinely wonder whether he ever had it in the first place. So has he just been lucky? Maybe had some decent Assistant Managers to work with, who have made up for his lack of ability, maybe managed to get lucky with the quality of players at his disposal?
I know... I know... But he has had some decent assistants at the clubs he's been successful at....I always had a suspicion that TP was behind his success here, but then he got three more teams promoted, suggesting it's down to the assistant managers is just the 'Calderwood Gambit' from last season.
I think you're right about football moving on, he's only been a coach for 15 years but already looks like a dinosaur compared to Critchley.I know... I know... But he has had some decent assistants at the clubs he's been successful at....
The other possibility is that Football has maybe just passed him by and he's perhaps not quite bright enough to get on board with the modern game... He also looks like a bit of a boozer, so maybe he's just lost his way
Possibly but I think thatās a tad harsh given he got promoted 4 times.I keep thinking about this and I genuinely wonder whether he ever had it in the first place. Yep.... It's just hard to explain how someone can go from almost a banker for gaining promotion from L1 to "You're so shit it's unbelievable"Possibly but I think thatās a tad harsh given he got promoted 4 times.
As for the here and now heās completely finished as a manager and his only hope is him pointing to his earlier jobs on his CV hoping a club will take a punt on him.
That would be a good shout actually.Chris Beech next up?
It was a reasonable appointment at the time considering we had to get someone in quick after Mcphillips helpfully took most of the summer to decide he didn't want to be a manager any more, could have told us at the end of the season Terry but thanks.I never wanted Larry back but I don't dismiss what he did for us first time round.
IMO he's just got a bit "lazy" and gives the impression he's lost his appetite for the game.
'inherit the gillet'I thought Simon Wiles would be next up there.
A very unambitious appointment by Sadler in the first place.A very unambitious appointment by Pilley in the first place.
Just seen Charlie Adam's post wishing him well.Stephen Crainey as caretaker
No it wasn't, as explained above.A very unambitious appointment by Sadler in the first place.
