Who do we fancy then?

Pot 1 (seeded teams): Qatar, Brazil, Belgium, France, Argentina, England, Spain, Portugal.

Pot 2: Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Uruguay, Switzerland, USA, Croatia.

Pot 3: Senegal, Iran, Japan, Morocco, Serbia, Poland, South Korea, Tunisia.

Pot 4: Cameroon, Canada, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Wales/Scotland/Ukraine, Costa Rica/New Zealand, UAE/Australia/Peru.

Not sure Switzerland would be easy. They could / should have been out of sight at half time.

Of more importance is the post group stage route. Can we be lucky for a third time?

Am I right in thinking Eng can only draw these-

2. Mex, Ugy USA

3. Sen Iran Jap Mor SK Tun

4 Cam Can Ecu SA Gha CR+ UAE+

In theory the only real danger of having Ugy and Sen in the same group.

I didn't say they would be easy, merely the easiest of that particular pot.
 
you can have 2 European teams in the same group

but can you have 2 from another continent?? can 2 teams from south america be in the same group or say both USA and canda??
 
At a guess, England, Denmark, Senegal, winner of UAE/Aus/Peru qualifier

Best case: USA, Tunisia, Saudi

Worst case: Germany, South Korea, Ghana
 
Isn’t Argentina usually in the so-called “Group of Death” ?
So let’s hope for Argentina / Germany / Senegal / Wales.

Four pots of teams.
First pot eight seeded teams with England in it.
The only unfair thing about the draw(obvious reasons) Scotland and Wales because of unplayed qualifier go into pot 4 when they would have been in pot 3!

Then the rest is bloody confusing.😁

we will never be as lucky with the draw again and by the small chance we are eventually we will have to play a proper side and will lose under the negative yes man

Mr Positive strikes again.
 
potentially good start for England with us being group B and IF we win group likely to play runner up of Group A. Qatar being top are not likely to top so group A is slightly imbalanced because of Qatar.
