Looked woeful going forward tonight. Some games where we've been like that, we've just passed to Josh and he'll make something out of nothing...can't do that anymore unfortunately. Our midfield needs to be much better without him.
 
Okay, from what I have seen second half, Williams, Connolly and Dougall not good enough, in fact nowhere near good enough. Lavery, not good enough, we need to play 433 and we need to play some decent players in midfield and up front. That was awful. We need to play our best players on Saturday and hope to god we get the injured players back as soon as possible and Big Gas back on the pitch after his suspension. We really missed the skill of Josh tonight, without him we are bog average
 
Garbage for 90 minutes. Players don’t look like they give a shit. Slow tempo, shirking 50/50’s, careless passing and almost zero attacking intent. 4 year contract or not that sort of performance gets managers sacked and rightly so. Appleton needs to get a response on Saturday.
 
Absolute sh*te tonight. Poor in possession, poor defending and toothless up front. The number of misplaced passes and inability to hold the ball when we have it is really worrying. Nobody stood out and too many need to have a look at themselves.
 
Void of ideas when we get the ball up to midfield. More often than not goes sideways or backwards.

Good side in the final third Rotherham.
 
Poor as poor can be. No fight, no guile and zero quality in any area of the pitch.

It will happen through the course of the season given the strength of the league and our young squad. I just didnt expect it against Rotherham!
 
patino at least looks to go forward . but from what i can see we've still not got a proper midfield play maker , someone that can beat a man or two with a quick turn or precise pass

With Connolly and Dougall as our midfield, we have no midfield, fuck the pair of them off, Connolly is a decent utility player, Dougall is just shite. Williams has lost it completely and will be back at Liverpool soon.
 
We were garbage at Huddersfield and they were worse. We’re garbage again tonight against a very average side.

Kenny dreadful in all aspects of the game.

Williams, he has now played left, right and centre. Abysmal in all positions. If he wasn’t from Liverpool he’d not make the 25 man squad.

Need Hubby back in alongside Marv. Nine shipped in last four games, tells a story.

Ok, we’ve got key players missing, but that does not excuse the sort of performance we’ve witnessed tonight. We are not this bad and key players will return, but Williams cannot keep being selected if we want to win games.
