Forgotten Football chants at Bloomfield Road

Always been one of my favourites. Living down south I used to often bring friends up who supported other clubs to Bloomfield Road (it was always easy to persuade my mates with a weekend on the piss even if it meant they had to watch the Pool with me!) and every single time they'd comment on how...

    Stadium food

The clubs local to me here in Birmingham do a really good job on their food offerings and have attracted some of the best street food vendors. A few years ago Villa partnered with the big local street food organisation, Digbeth Dining Club, who got a number of decent offerings inside the stadium...

Longest journey to get a pie?

They are amazing, my wife was in Bolton last Monday visiting her mum so got her to bring a dozen back and we are already down to the last few.

    The Alan Ball management era

I've mentioned this before but Alan Ball is one of the main reasons I kept supporting the Pool as a kid. We lived in Buckinghamshire, well over 200 miles away from Blackpool, and were lucky to get up for two games a season as it was a good 4 hour or more drive each way in the trusty family...

    Jimmy Armfield Mural Update 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Had a look at Seca One and he seems decent. Here's a few bits from around where I am from the likes of Void One and N4T4, but we have a lot of really good artists painting around Digbeth.

    Jimmy Armfield Mural Update 🧡🧡🧡🧡

When the artist was announced I checked his portfolio on instagram and instantly thought this might not be the job for him. I'm not trying to put him down as he's obviously got talent but it's a massive undertaking and it just didn't seem the right fit based on his previous work so I did wonder...

    o/t Glastonbury Thread 2022

It's never been free, even the first one was a quid. I would guess that's about £15 now with inflation, still not bad I guess. When did you last go? I ask as I genuinely think it's better now that it was years ago when I started going - there's a trade-off in a loss of some of that chaotic...

What to do with 60+ years of Blackpool press cuttings?

Thanks everyone, some great suggestions there for the cuttings, once the dust settles I think I'll start by contacting the club and seeing what they say, and then go from there. For the books I'm happy to donate to other organisation that can use them to raise a bit of cash, there's literally a...

What to do with 60+ years of Blackpool press cuttings?

Sadly my dad passed away yesterday at the age of 87 after a short stay in hospital. A lifelong Blackpool fan right until the end, and it's because of him that myself and now my daughter have gone the same path - some of my earliest childhood memories are of us making the 4-5 hour journey up to...

    Coventry Game

Think I've been to 7 of the last 8 games away at Cov, the only one I missed was the only time we won so maybe I should stay well clear this time.

Wettest you've been at a game?

That Brentford game is the one for me too - not only due to the performance and result and getting the soaking of a lifetime but also because my dad and I had travelled with his Brentford support mate and son, so we had to drive back with them being both being very smug (and also very dry as...

    Budapest Recommendations.

Budapest is probably my favourite European city - we went for the first time a few years back and loved it so much we ended up going 3 times in a year! Absolutely tonnes to do from family friendly stuff to the ruin bars and it's still all relatively cheap too which is a big bonus. Despite having...

    care parking!!

As others have said it's definitely not true that private parking companies never go to court - I know from experience as it happened to me a few year back after Northampton away (can't remember if it was the 1 nil or 3 nil but I remember we lost) when I foolishly parked in the nearby cinema...

How many did we have at Forest for the Play Off night?

I missed pretty much all of the first half thanks to the traffic, and I was only coming from Birmingham but got stuck for ages in roadworks. By the time I got to the ground there was no parking anywhere, and I was driving round aimlessly as I heard a deafening roar as Earnshaw's goal went in...

    Blackpool's first Cat Cafe

It's definitely not for me but they seem to be really popular. The one Sooty59 mentions in Edinburgh, Maison de Moggy, always seemed to be doing a good trade whenever we went past it, and one one closest to me here in Birmingham, Kitty Cafe, has expanded to 4 or 5 branches now.
