Noticed a lot left very early yesterday and a few flicked the V's at Critch at the end of the game - I wonder if he and the players are a bit embarrassed after the Herculean effort of the fans yesterday to produce such an insipid and toothless performance?

Herculean effort by the fans? Good noise until we conceded then quiet for the rest of the first half, much of the second where they appeared again for the last 15……. The very performance many slag the players off for. You could even here the Oxford fans singing about how quiet we were on more than on one occasion, so let’s not get too carried away.

It felt like 2 points dropped than 1 gained and a little deflating but a draw against a team in and around us isn’t the worst.

We are not a top 6 side sadly, on our day we are, but far too inconsistent, we have been all season, and I can’t see Byers single handedly changing that. There is another 3 or 4 better players needed in this squad to be challengers.

We drew ! against a team with pretty much the same placing as us.

Flickin the V’s and leaving early 😳 that’s embarrassing as a fan, not a player.

Entitled is the word.
I'm sure someone must have mixed the DNA of jockeys Dick Francis & Pat Eddery and produced a Blackpool supporting clone given the level of Dick Eddery amongst our fans

Didn't get why some in the North were booing at the end when the players and Critch came over 🤷‍♂️. But as l said on another thread is this because of the shite away performances? Anyway entitled bellenders springs to mind.
I thought most of the booing was directed at the ref. We should just get used to eccentric refereeing, it seems to be the norm these days. There was a row between a couple of fans in the North when one decided to slag CJ for the crime of appearing as substitute 🙄

We could easily have lost yesterday and Oxford were dangerous in the first half. It’s an ok result but it comes when we need wins. We really are struggling to create and score goals without Rhodes.

Didn't happen round me in the north, boos for the ref but applause for the players at their effort. Bit if a poor show if anyone was booing the players after drawing with a play off rival.

I know. I really don't get why we are underperforming.
If you go toe to toe with a play off rival similar size club and draw the game is that really so underperforming that justifies boos and v sign ?

I don’t think so.

If we want to go on a run to give us a chance encouragement required .

This is confusing.
Were our supporters booing the ref (which is highly probable after his performance)? Or our players & manager after they competed well & earned a point (which sounds improbable)?
Some have responded by posting insulting comments & using the much overused derogatory term 'entitled supporters'.
Can anyone please clarify who the boo's & fingers were aimed at?

Boos were for the ref, no doubt, but unfortunately the ref walking off coincided with some players and Critchly coming over to the north. Hopefully the general applause was noted by the players.

Exactly. I don't think anyone had a pop at the players or manager.

People leave early every week, win, lose or draw.

If I'd been an Oxford fan I'd have been disappointed my team didn't go home with all 3 points.
I was happy with a point yesterday, it was never 2 points lost, they missed two sitters.

So we must also, mathematically, be relegation rivals with the Cods? Using that logic virtually every team in the division are either our promotion or relegation rivals.🤔
Yes, technically, but relegation is not an issue. Promotion via the playoffs is very much alive. To say it isn't is just silly.

Are you saying that we have no chance of the play offs? Despite it being possible to be in the top 6 next Saturday?
I’m saying whilst nothing is impossible, apart from striking a match on a jelly, we will be in this league again next season.

What about the unbelievable save from their keeper?

The one at the end skews judgement because it was so late on.

We dominated long stretches of play but missed someone to convert chances in the box, or more being in the right place. We had twice as many shots, and double the amount on target.

Tut, tut.
It’s all a bit random and careless. Flicking V’s here and there, when anyone can get in the way.
If Critchley or CJ etc are in the way, politely gesture for them to step aside. Then point to the offending match official and direct a middle finger directly to target.

Sorry Wizz, you are wandering into the realms of Critchley and his “we dominated possession” mantra. Possession doesn’t matter unless you do something with it, shots on target don’t win games unless they go in. In a nutshell goals win games and we don’t score enough in important games.

Neither do Oxford apparently.

But, AR - and I suppose this all comes down to the slightly thorny question of word selection, could it not instead be argued that both are 'vying', for the play-off positions?
That’s a more accurate word, vying for and rivals for are two different situations.

Another shit stirring made up o/p number 1001.
Some can't help themselves can they, garbage like this will now be all over social media and become the truth.
