Peterborough v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 17.02.24

Much better today against a footballing side. Well done. Out in Keswick tonight for a Thai curry & a few celebratory beers. Dogs & all (not on the menu) 😃

*Now*, like tonight, is the time for SS to come out address the fans and get everyone on the same page again and looking forwards. Good performance overall, a well deserved 3 points. Chance to really build on this one.
Why? I've never stopped looking forward and being optimistic. The club is hardly imploding is it, just people creating a fantasy crisis when actually the only thing wrong is inconsistencies on the pitch.

Great away day. Looking forward to a good fisting to.finish it off but you can't have everything. Makes for a very enjoyable 4 hours home 👍

So much for all that bollocks about posh being the best side people had seen etc.

They're an alright side but as said at the time, we were well under par and had some players starting that don't start now and also some missing.

We also battered them with 10 once we got going.

13 more games to play - 39 points to play for.
We've 50 pts currently - how many are needed (approx) to secure a play off spot?

I think there’s enough evidence knocking about for you to recognise not everyone shares your view. SS could use a positive result to really bring some dissenting voices onside if managed properly.

Much better today. Still some rust in places, but away from home I could certainly understand the idea of having three centre mids in there and it might be the way we have to go. Earn the right to play type approach.

Onwards and upwards!

Go on then, put a list together and let's have a run through it.

Despite the negativity at HT I still enjoyed the first half. It was a completely different performance from Tuesday and although we were 2nd best it was still a reasonably entertaining game of football.
A 2nd half where you come back from behind, score 2, including 1 in time added, don't concede and win is always going to be entertaining.

I tell you what. Today highlighted what a mockery it is to play Kouassi upfront instead of Lavery. So many wasted points because of Critchley’s shit tactics and team selections.

Can you never be happy? your not only clueless your miserable and you need to start breaking the face of yours into a smile.

Some of those dissenting voices will never be brought onside because some people just like to be negative and find fault, irrespective of what happens.

Looks like we got a big decision today at least. Luck turning away from home hopefully, watched highlights and beesley miles offside for the winner. Dembele shoots with left and it comes off beesley and back to dembele to shoot again

Look again, he's not offside when the ball is struck. He follows it in

The alternative highlights are well worth a watch as always, two things stand out the size of the Peterborough fans nose just after they score and a clearer cut stonewall nailed on penalty as you will ever see against Jordan.

Better than he did on Tuesday!! One or two good touches but one of the worst players for us today. Norburn & Morgan contributed a lot more.
He was better than that and had far more than one or two touches if you watch it back, still getting his match fitness toi
