Peterborough v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 17.02.24

6 points between us and Peterborough in 5th now although they have a game in hand, as do Stevenage.

Stevenage and Oxford both have 1 win in their last 5. Peterborough have no wins in their last five. Only problem is our form is no better.

Big win needed at Orient to keep them at bay.

Big win , now need to follow it up with Bolton next Saturday
Players critchley and fans need to stick together now
To much negativity around , which is understandable thou

Hopefully I’ve spelt this correctly and wrote it correctly 🤷 🙄
I wouldn’t say you wrote it correctly.

Lmfao so let me get this straight; we have no trouble with

1) Any team at home.
2) Good teams away.

But struggled with;

1) Shit teams away.

If we were even average away from home we'd be top 6 easily.
We’re good and tactics work against teams that want to play. They don’t work against teams that sit in and lump it, which is most teams in L1. That’s the frustration and why I’d like to see more flexibility from NC.

In 2004 both Posh and Stevenage have 10 points from 8 games, Oxford have 13 from 9 and we have 14 from 8. So our form is better.

Wow there’s some perfect dogooders on here isn’t there 🤷🤬
Pool win and still fans are moaning
I havnt wrote it right or spelt right or did this or that right

Shame my dyslexia or hidden disability’s can’t be seen on here

In case anybody interested, we've won 4 of our 8 games since the turn of the year and taken 14 points from them. Clearly with only a 50% win rate the coach is an idiot, as the experts on here consistently point out.
I'm interested to find out that the season doesn't start til Jan 1st !!!!
And whereas 6 out of the 7 teams above us have a 50% win rate or better OVER THE SEASON SO FAR, Blackpool don't .
I wonder if that's because they started playing with a bit of intent from August on🤔🤷 only if you're interested

We NEED to perform like we did in the second half for the rest of our upcoming away games. All out attack is the way to go in this god-awful league . We should fear no one.

I'll give Critchley credit when it's due. He needs to have more faith in the players at his disposal. Let the shackles off and give it a bloody good go. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday evening chaps 🍺.

Of course ... if you're Auntie had bollocks she'd be your Uncle, but if we'd done better against Stevenage and Cheltenham we'd be right in the mix now.

I think that's the key to getting out of this league. You can play your football but you also have to dig in and grind out wins against the long ball merchants. Great finish to the game and you could see what it meant to the players.

Thought we were done for at half time, well done to the lads for turning it around. This could prove to be a massive win, but only of we build off it.
I typed a post at HT and never pressed send. I said I thought the game was far from over if we just kept up the press. I don't expect anyone to believe me. 😁

Big win.
Peterborough probably reflecting they should have been out of sight at half time? Rode abit of luck & deserved to get the win.
6 points off 6th with 13 to play …. Minimum of 8 wins likely needed ?

Seven and a couple of draws would be 73 points, which might just sneak us in.
Personally l doubt we will get that many, but maybe today was a turning point.

They're up there for a reason, which suggests to me that they are going through a lean patch, but will return to form.

Certainly the position isn't as hopeless as it should be, and may well still be.

Recent 6th place average is 78 points….. I’d say 73 or prob 74 that I put with 8 winsneeded possibly not enough?
