Peterborough v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 17.02.24

Impossible to feel confident of Pool's chances. Clueless Critchley's selection, formation and tactics fill me with dread. Only hope is that the players stand up to be counted this time.

Concerned as to how this will go down is an understatement 😬

Would be just like us to batter them though.

Reaction and a win in both games to show the Dressing room hasn’t been lost. Play like the other night Critch has to go.

Ever since I have watched the Pool we have always been the team to play to end a bad run. Cannot see anything but a defeat, especially the way Critchley sets us up in away games. No doubt he will select the wrong players inthe wrong positions once again!

The players do have to step up. Also, Critchley has to do his bit in terms of motivation and positive tactics.
yeah fair shout, the thing i think off is it doesn't matter what formation/tactics we play if they don't perform everything goes out of the window

6-0 I’m going one better for them as last time it should have been 9 nil we were that bad and it was Critchleys last game before he fcuked off to Villa and the rest is history.

I don't have much belief in Critchley or the playing squad, but 🤞 that both parties react positively.

The odds must be astronomical for this and with our propensity to play better against better teams away it might be worth a punt on a win, even a draw would return a healthy profit.

I actually think we’ll win there we've got nothing to play for and apparently the pitch is terrible so it'll suit our game more than theirs I may have a few quid on us.

I'm taking the wife out and will look at result when I get home later in the day. I have never been so disinterested in the team, over 70 years, than I am presently.

Very very sad to admit that.
You will have been you are just looking at it from present time. Enjoy your day out with your wife and don't think about, you can't alter how they play or the score so enjoy.

Surely we have no chance which is unbelievable.

We had more hope when playing away at Fulham and Sheffield Utd than playing Burton, Port Vale, Cheltenham etc.

Dropped a long way in two years.

Always play better against better teams. They’ve got a dip in form . Sue our boys will respond. Feel a jig win coming on. 1-0 to the mighty

Totally agree Curryman. I've been watching the Pool for 56 years and for all the lows we've had during that time, I can't remember feeling this apathy and disappointment. I also think that because we supporters can actually see a more than decent squad of players, the anger and frustration takes over when the Manager continues to set them up to fail. Very sad.

I'm expecting to be back on the barge at 3.10pm..cant see anything but a battering from a fresh ( unplayed last game ) posh...It may be as sickening as watching that 5-0 pummelling bypassing the midfield with such ease game.

Reading their MB the pitch will still be very heavy due to poor drainage problems. Also they have players coming back injury so this is going to be a very tough assignment and not for the faint-hearted. Is it time for dogs of war with Norburn, Byers/Morgan and Virtue in midfield? Joseph and Lavery up front?

Surely this is a thread for those going and not those who are not?!😂 Anyone having a beer before the game tomorrow in Peterborough? Not seen a single seasider here today.
