From what I can see on twitter Swansea fans really don't like him. Apparantly he was booed when subbed on in their last game. A lot of their fans calling for the club to just sell him and cut their losses.

Very unlikely but worth a cheeky bid? 😅

Some players just suit certain clubs, he had a connection with the fans here that some players won't have in their entire careers. Entirely understandable that he moved on with the chance to remain in the championship.

Shame it hasn't worked out for him, I'd have him back any day of the week.

Yes, would have him back if the manager thought he was hungry enough.

I wished him well but I didnt think it would work out. I thought he played his best alongside Big Gaz.

They should have signed Big Gaz as well.

Perhaps a victim of Swansea changing managers after he was signed?

I believe Swansea have often tried to play with a lone striker(?) since they changed manager, which we all know doesn't suit Jerry at all (hence the above post about playing well alongside Gaz).

He scored about 13 league goals for a struggling relegated championship side last season, so I think he is up to being championship standard if he could get some consistency (iirc he got a few of his goals early , then went through a goalless spell, then started scoring again)

I'd love to see him back here if it's possible, but I doubt that would happen while NC is in charge.

There’s something about our club that allows people to shine.

Grayson, Olly, DJ, Critchley, Josh, Jerry to name a few. Not everything that glitters is gold as they say. It’s as much about the fit as it is the individual that’s for sure. I’d love him back 🍊🍊

Yates scored goals for us that none of our current forwards would be capable of. Two that spring to mind are the ones at home to Northampton, and away to Portsmouth, both in our promotion season. Sublime skill for both and yet both very different. I can't fathom how anyone wouldn't rate him tbh, Those two goals would've been goal of the month contenders in the premier league. He's a great player. He hasn't been a good fit for Swansea, but he hasn't lost the talent. I think they've played him as a lone striker and if they have, then they didn't do their research properly.

It would all come down to money, how much would Swansea want for him, but also how much money will Jerry want, sadly I a presume he has got used to being on Championship wages, as such cannot see it happening because someone will offer him considerably more than we can pay, so let’s move on😞

He doesn't look out of place in the Championship, albeit, perhaps a squad player or bottom half team. I think he'd be our number 1 striker in div 1.

Objectively, he's moved from a side that was relegated from the Championship where he did well to an established Championship side where he's struggled. There won't be a host of clubs queueing up for his services should Swansea decide he doesn't fit the way they play; you're only as good as your recent performances in the eyes of many.

I've said this a few times on here, but I just dont understand what Swansea's scouting team were doing. Even the smallest bit of research show that he can't play upfront on his own. Feel for the lad as he's be set up to fail with them.

It’s mad that Swansea fans say he puts in zero effort. I’m not sure I remember a more hardworking player at Blackpool, especially when it wasn’t going our way, would always try and force the issue.

Swansea fans who only lived through their rise up the league appear to have notions. They need to recognise that even at their capacity their attendances are only average for the league. In the same way as Portsmouth fans are about to get a rude awakening.

as their top scorer with 8 goals i kinda points to a team that are a bit sh1t

Can’t fathom that one out.

He ran his bollocks off for us.

Clearly he’s shot of confidence and not happy.
