Was nice to see a midfield without Norburn, front 2 and CJ were really woeful though.I didn't boo, likely due to apathy. I wanted a win and a good performance today, but only got one of thoes things. Its an odd feeling to be leaving the ground after winning and almost feel as if we have lost. I was really happy for Carey getting that goal, he deserved it after the last few weeks, only bright spot really.
Yeah agreed but was surprised to hear boos after a win things must really have got bad now.didn’t boo - but it’s the most underwhelmed I’ve ever been after winning . 3 shots on target speaks volumes
Yeah I thought Byers did well and the first half our mf looked good. Was nice to see a midfield without Norburn, front 2 and CJ were really woeful though.
Yeah 2nd half was awful, surely worth a system tweak against FleetwoodUninspiring performance against a very poor Cambridge side
First half was ok but second half like watching paint dry
Dull football played in a dull system
You seriously think he'll consider changing the system with 4 games to go ?Yeah 2nd half was awful, surely worth a system tweak against Fleetwood
No chance, Critch doesn’t do system tweaks. He’s too engaged in ‘the process’. MaddnessYeah 2nd half was awful, surely worth a system tweak against Fleetwood
I think you meant he’s too engaged in the process of madnessNo chance, Critch doesn’t do system tweaks. He’s too engaged in ‘the process’. Maddness
We have a fan base who are totally pissed off watching the same boring drivel .Don’t blame those for doing so but can’t say I’ve ever heard that before… flat game flat atmosphere but still booo at the final whistle after a win? We’ve got an interesting fan base.

How dare you! Critch does not change the systemYeah 2nd half was awful, surely worth a system tweak against Fleetwood
First half should have seen us home and dry, with Carey having two great chances to score more, a possible penalty shout for Dembele, but the side is utterly devoid of confidence.Uninspiring performance against a very poor Cambridge side

Beat Fleetwood and three points behind albeit having played a game moreFirst half should have seen us home and dry, with Carey having two great chances to score more, a possible penalty shout for Dembele, but the side is utterly devoid of confidence.
The pairing of Kouassi and Beesley was more promising in that we won more up front and the ball stuck, but too often the ball just wouldn't fall and half chances went begging.
That came to the fore in the second half when we struggled to put anything together, and lacked the confidence to shoot when chance to do so came.
The introduction of Joseph and Lavery plus the withdrawal of Dembele utterly removed any attacking threat as neither could even control the ball, never mind pass it. What has happened to Lavery? He's not even closing the defence down and his 'control' is absolutely terrible, the ball bouncing off him in all directions.
That allowed Cambridge to get back into a game that should have been long beyond them. A great save from Grimshaw and a shot against the post could have seen a real meltdown.
However, we won. As Gary Bowyer said on the radio after the game, that's all that counts at this stage of the season.
Beat Fleetwood on Tuesday and see where that gets us.
I never boo ,but Crichley and SS need to know how we are all feeling .So I can see why this is happening and I don't blame the fans for doing it when paying good money for these performances.Utterly pathetic to boo after today's performance. The only time I would consider booing is if the players gave up. They didn't. I saw a team trying hard and got 3 points fir their efforts.
I believe the latest buzzword for fans is "entitled". Seems we have a few of them unfortunately.
Is that not the managers job?Perhaps they were booing themselves for not providing encouragement for a better performance?
Entitled as I said. I expect slightly more but really not enough to boo!I never boo ,but Crichley and SS need to know how we are all feeling .So I can see why this is happening and I don't blame the fans for doing it when paying good money for these performances.
Most people check the scores of the other teams around us, if they would’ve gone well the reaction at full time would have been differentYeah agreed but was surprised to hear boos after a win things must really have got bad now.
Joseph has been a very expensive mistake. We looked scared in front of goal. It was a shot from distance that got us the goal. Why not try it again? We didn't. As for the passing! Surely they must be able to weigh a pass. Dembele's passing was amateurish. And what was Joseph doing when he came on. You're a striker, man! Check out the job description instead of trying to be everywhere.
3didn’t boo - but it’s the most underwhelmed I’ve ever been after winning . 3 shots on target speaks volumes
Entitled? Shut up you clownEntitled as I said. I expect slightly more but really not enough to boo!
Haha! You can spout your agenda all you want ya muppet! We don't all have to agree with you do we, as much as it must hurtEntitled? Shut up you clown
My highlight was the hapless CJ dummying himself and falling over. Some of our play was laughable in parts.
Ya muppet??? How old are you 12?Haha! You can spout your agenda all you want ya muppet! We don't all have to agree with you do we, as much as it must hurt
Our winning goal wouldn't have happened without CJ. Pinpoint accurate ball to kouassi. Doubt you'll remember that. Good to have some balance. My highlight was the hapless CJ dummying himself and falling over.
Oh, and man marking himself out of the game which is a feat in itself
Pathetic really to boo after a win but from a fanbase which has a section who boo a statement of solidarity against racism what should we expect????Don’t blame those for doing so but can’t say I’ve ever heard that before… flat game flat atmosphere but still booo at the final whistle after a win? We’ve got an interesting fan base.
I admire your unwavering optimism Phil, but we were so bad in the second half it was painful. As for the penalty, it wasn't at all but they should have had one in the first half when Pennington lost the ball on the byline in the box and bought the forward down yet we got the free kick, Cizzy and Bowyer were both flabbergasted they didn't get a pen.First half should have seen us home and dry, with Carey having two great chances to score more, a possible penalty shout for Dembele, but the side is utterly devoid of confidence.

He really is beginning to plumb new depths in terms of his unsurpassed displays of footballing ineptitude. My highlight was the hapless CJ dummying himself and falling over.

Cambridge deserved a point and as long as Critchley is manager we won't get into the Championship. We haven't looked decent for weeks and we won't get into the play offs. I think we will lose or draw on Tuesday, I'm dreading it.
Bowyer is trustworthy though and the replay it looked a stone bonker. It looked it to me and had it been the other way round we would have been aggrieved.Chizzy can't tell the difference between Carey and Marvin half the time so how he can be confident on a penalty from miles away is beyond me.

I prefer look at it as wanting to be entertained rather than bored stupidUtterly pathetic to boo after today's performance. The only time I would consider booing is if the players gave up. They didn't. I saw a team trying hard and got 3 points fir their efforts.

Whether you like it or not we controlled the game for long periods today and deserved the win. Every Stat available supports that narrative. Winning by the odd goal was about right. Not exciting but also not sure why you're so negative tbh.I admire your unwavering optimism Phil, but we were so bad in the second half it was painful. So, for what was almost certainly the first time he has managed to achieve the feat this season, C...omplete J...oke manages to execute a telling pass with pinpoint accuracy, in the build-up play which leads to a goal ...Our winning goal wouldn't have happened without CJ. Pinpoint accurate ball to kouassi. Doubt you'll remember that. Good to have some balance.
