I used to take penalties at Iain Hesford on Manor School playing field.
Me and the family had a night out with Wes Hoolahan and his family in Lytham. Oyston wanted him to stay at Blackpool so he gave him his credit card to pay for the night out. So Wes and his family, (about fourteen all together) had a few bets at the bookies, bought cocktails for everyone, paid the restaurant bill, then he told Oyston he’d decided to move to Norwich.
Played Sunday junior football with Mark Thompson Les. He took a great penalty & made it through to the semi finals at Turf Moor back in the 70's when there was a junior penalty shoot out at Wembley on FA Cup final day.Don't want to brag BUT
Played in the same Sunday League Team as Alan Suddick, Glyn James, Terry Alcock, Ricky Sbrigia, Stan Ternant, Dennis Wann and Stu Parker ( used to give Suddy a lift home to Orkney Ave after The Boars, surreal drinking with your idol )
Worked with Jeff Chandler for a couple of years who is a top, top, fella.
Col Greenall has out drunk, out golfed and out snookered me on many occasions.
I'm the luckiest Blackpool fan alive especially Glyn and Suddy x

Played with John Butler at Wrens....sorry John !
And Mark Thompson, Steve Thompson's brother.
M, SMs house was on the corner, left going South, of one of the roads off Sr Annes Rd.Dave, back when I was a kid, I used to help my older cousin deliver newspapers. He told me that one of the addresses we delivered to was Stan Mathews house. I have always treasured the thought that I stood on his doorstep. It was a house in a street off St. Annes Road. Was my cousin having me on ? This would have been circa 1964.
On the southern corner of St. Anne's Rd and Ayrton Avenue. It's now an old folks home.M, SMs house was on the corner, left going South, of one of the roads off Sr Annes Rd.
Can't be sure now which one it was.
I must take a trip down to remind myself which one.
As I remember it was a detached house.
Fr33jack, I was in the school year below Chris at Larkholme. Always thought he was a good lad too. When I was younger I knocked around with Jamie Burns cousin and I use to baby sit Jamie and his younger twin brother and sister. His mum and dad are Stuart and Sandra.
I was working as a doorman at the peppermint lounge on the front door and a drunk Jamie Burns turned up late trying to give it the billy big bollox forcing his way in. I wouldn’t let him in so he drove of and got pulled instantly that was when he was done for drink driving.
When I was a sales rep at Longfellow Stuart Parker was my manager and he could sell snow to eskimos.
I was in the same year as Chris Beach. I hated most people at school but Chris wasn’t one of them.
So, could have paid for your own coffee or could have been Karl Oyston. Hmm, the path of life is full of crossroads...Also, was in squiresgate Costa last year and realized I left my phone in the car. So Chris Maxwell who was in the q behind me offered to pay for my coffee
Lovely lad Colin and the Butler boys.Don't want to brag BUT

Not the blue & white one stolen from the Deepdale trophy room?My dad fitted a carpet for Trevor Sinclair
YesDid you go to Millfield then?
Same school as me, my older brother was in the same year as Ian.
I have a similar link VoyI used to be pals with Billy Cartmel's grandson. My sister was pals with Harry Potts' daughter at school. David McNiven was my milkman for a while, in the 80s, when I lived in St Anne's.
That building deserves to have a blue plaque on itOn the southern corner of St. Anne's Rd and Ayrton Avenue. It's now an old folks home.
Lisa?My best pal at school, her dad once played for Pool, Dennis Wann
Great thread, though they're not spurious. They could be tenuous. So your connections to Blackpool FC - could be went to school with a player, relative has something to do with the club, fitted a tap there, was a Golden Gamble seller etc
So I'll kick off - Jamie Burns has just decorated my Mum's house
I worked with her a good few years ago. You’ll know where. She is really good at what she does!Yes ! Do you know her ?
