£20 tickets against Luton

Good, at last. Hopefully it will improve home crowd numbers, about which there's been much speculation on here as to whether the lower prices would make a difference.

A cold (probably) November day , with an expected low away attendance. We'd have been looking at 10,000 possibly less.

£15 with a membership as well 👏 👏

Don’t agree with this to be honest, you are either a fan or you are not.
You have a situation like mine . Me and my son are season ticket holders . My wife used to be a season ticket holder . Now she doesn't come to matches as she looks after a grand child who is 8 and has never been to a match before. Her father and myself feel as though she would not have enough interest to sit through a full 90 minutes . This game gives us a reasonable opportunity to see if she will . If so there is a good chance of 2 more season ticket holders for next season.

Yep gives us a chance to have a another look how much price can affect things. Always helps if we've won a few games too.

This will help people when money is tight, it also feels a good deal.

Why would an adult just stumble upon Blackpool fc because it’s a tenner cheaper, a tenner is next to nothing .
Clearly not one of the ones where money is tight.

This will help in many different ways.

Its also considered a good price, like buying anything, even if you can afford it, people won't buy it if its deemed too high.

When money is tight people will pick and choose games, lower prices clearly mean you could get to more games at said price.

Not everyone is a die hard pool fan, when a product is cheaper and more attractive you expect to sell more, its very simple. Its also more appealing to new fans.

Blackpool Football Club is running a special ticket promotion for the match against Luton Town on Saturday 5 November.
The home fan offer, which is one of those permitted by the EFL across the course of a season, will see:
  • Adult tickets available to purchase in standard areas of the ground for £20
  • Standard Senior and Young Adult (18-21) tickets on sale for £15
  • Under-12 tickets available from £5
  • Additional savings offered to members – with a further £5 discount taken off the price of an Adult, Senior or Young Adult ticket
Providing the ideal opportunity to bring friends and family to the football, let’s fill the ground and show why Bloomfield Road is the place to be when the Seasiders are in action.

Club Memberships:
A Club Membership can be purchased by an Adult, Senior or Young Adult for the cost of £15 and entitles you to £5 off the price of each Championship home match you attend in the 2022/23 campaign, as well as priority on the purchase of away tickets after season ticket holders.

What’s more, for the price of what a standard adult match ticket usually costs (£30), you can combine buying a Club Membership and a Member ticket for this Luton match for the same amount.

How To Purchase:
Tickets and memberships are available to purchase in person at the ticket office, online at eticketing.co.uk/blackpoolfc or by calling 01253 599745.
Supporters purchasing tickets for the Luton match can do so from 10am on Friday (14 October).

Seriously ?

Fantastic initiative from the club I’d say plenty will be sold because of the pricing structure. I’ve heard quite a few saying they won’t pay £30 a ticket even though it’s only a fiver more than what it was in 2010/2011 era.
I think a few Luton will travel as I’ve got quite a few booked in the hotel for two nights.

Proof will be in the pudding so to speak first time to see if £30 is too much.
Increase home attendance massively for the game then we seriously need to think again about 30.
Small increase and then it doesn't really matter what you charge.

You are telling porkies, no cheap offer and we did not play Gillingham at home in 2005
Sorry it was actually Colchester United is 2004, but we thought the game finished 2-2 but Google says 1-1 and I’m sure their keeper was called dean gherkin. But anyway the fact is if there weren’t a cheap deal for that game my wife would never have gone.

Just to add the crowd for that Colchester game was 6,500…..was above our normal average gate for that season…..Colchester won’t have brought any fans so maybe there was a deal on after all

Its a simple principle that applies to all things that are sold, aka products.

Its still selling something, a ticket.

Not everyone can afford top whack week in week out. When its cheaper and money goes further people are more likely to go more regularly or bring someone with them.

Not sure why you're trying to debate this.

Doesn't matter how much 'pride' you have if you can't afford to go each week ar high prices or don't feel its value for money.

Casual fans need enticing, its how you grow thw fanbase.

Surely you want that, or should all non pool fans just wake up and be willing to shell out 30 quid each game from the off. 🙄

If you arent a fan don’t go , normally the once a season brigade are the biggest moaners🙁

Ffs all this moaning on here about the prices ,If Pool get promoted, the message board will be in meltdown with the possible price increases .Ie Fulham’s prices 30 % up.

No problem, next time use your brain to understand that we come from one of the most underprivileged areas of the country, where the difference between 20 and 30 quid for a ticket matters to people, as it impacts their budget. Not everyone in the area is able to be in a privileged position, so saying "you're either a fan or you're not" with relation to buying a ticket is just absolutely brainless.

"If you arent a fan don’t go"

Wow.

🤦‍♂️ So none of us should ever have gone for the first time then.

I'm a ST holder btw so not for me.

The way to grow a club is to appeal to all types of fan, thankfully those in charge, despite charging high prices currently, see the benefit of making it affordable at least on these deal occasions.

You might turn some once in a while people into regular fans the more they go.

So you won't want any more fans than we get at the moment I take it. ...

If it's true that the £30 is putting a lot of people off then presumably we'll sell a lot more for Luton.

If we don't then it's likely to be something else.
