Tangy you've summed it up in a sentence, when I waffle on for paragraphs.
Of course it's not for Henderson or Silva or anyone else to sort out the financial problems of the lower leagues. But just think of the fund that could be quickly built up by taking 1% of weekly wages that are over £50k. And I'm being deliberately low key with that, to make the point.
The EFL could then be responsible (an oxymoron if ever there was one) for judging how much a struggling club is at fault, and awarding financial support accordingly. To be clear I'm not talking about offering it to clubs who just spend beyond their means, so most of the Championship therefore. This would be for those who can keep the themselves afloat by the sale of a player or cup receipts.
Sadly of course, there's only me thinks like that.
