Over four years for the UK TV rights for the PL yet so many clubs are going out of business.

I'm not sure the bubble will burst, but the playing field is so uneven, sporting integrity is out of the window.

I hope we get back one day, but it's becoming incredibly difficult.

It might also mean an even bigger crackdown on illegal streams sadly.

Not interested in a financial closed shop that ensures a complete absence of sporting competition. Feel sorry for anyone still wasting their time watching it.

The German or Spanish maybe French leagues?
Scotland?
Serie A- Juventus 9 times winners out of the last 12 seasons.

I'd say our PL is far more competitive than most European leagues and they share out the finances fairer.

The financial impact on the rest of the pyramid aside it is a fantastic product, this weekend alone there were some cracking games with less fancied teams putting in competitive performances against some bigger sides. The Liverpool - Fulham game being a prime example (Can't help but feel dismayed that we took 4 points off them only 2 years ago and now we're where we are).

Yeh it's a fantastic product and also it's a competitive league both at the top and at the bottom really. The only criticism is that more money should be shared down the pyramid but I also have criticism for the EFL here. The Championship is a really really good league too and the EFL should do much more to market it in its own right rather than beg for pennies off the Premier league.

It helps the media and football infrastructure to promote this as the biggest deal ever, look at all this money, football started in 1992 and Sky are its overseers. Trying to disentangle it is interesting.

The cost per game of the old deal in 2018 was 8.5m - 10.6m adjusted for inflation. It's down to 6.2m with this deal. The cost per game has nearly halved. That looks like a bursting bubble. However there are more games covered in this deal, so maybe that's growth? My initial guess is this whole thing is built on rich executives who have convinced themselves that never ending, exponential growth is just the norm. When that comes into jeopardy, what will they do? More TV games? Ditch the 3pm blackout? Chase more money from more games even at less money per game? That's certainly what they have done here.

Of course more money will be coming from overseas rights, where international viewers already have access to more televised British football than we do.

I'm not sure if it's that attractive internationally, which is where most of the PL money comes from.

I haven't watched a prem game for about 3 years ,unless I have had a bet on the outcome. I don't see the point of watching a league that City have bought . I wish they would hurry and sort out some punishment for the financial cheats.

When we got promoted in 2007 the Championship was fantastic but now I find it a bit boring but that's probably just me. Too many teams just marking time not going anywhere and others just spewing the parachute payments.
